Today we’d like to introduce you to Chicho Lorenzo
Hi Chicho, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve been doing art all my life. Is a good way for me to process life, It happens that people usually identify deeply with it, so I consider it fair to share my art with all.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Creating my art, I explore hidden areas of reality. I feel cosmically connected. So my main struggle is to not get distracted. At those moments with the everyday life. At certain points of my career, I worried about my art being liked, or about being original. But I’m not even taking credit for it, so I learned to accept whatever flows through me.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I mostly draw. I draw on my sketchbook, and also on walls.. No different]ce on the size, for it is a dance of lines that grow by themselves. I get surprised with the scenes and characters that come out of my hands. Sometimes inspired by live music (I Love aw musicians!), or by a word, or a whole conversation. I create art that inspires others who had inspired it. Mutual always.
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Going with my Dad to watch insects to a pond❤️
