Today we’d like to introduce you to Brooke Molinari.
Hi Brooke, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started off working in health care and financial services advertising at an ad agency in NYC. The type of clients we had didn’t really excite me as a 20-something year old designer. On the side, I began to build my roster of freelance clients until one day I had the stability with my freelance to take it on full time. Very shortly after, my client list grew, and I had to hire some extra help. Thats how my agency was born!

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
Definitely not – the trickiest part about design work is that its subjective. It’s hard to know what clients will like or how they will react to the creations we make. Being in the business of client services requires a lot of patience managing a lot of personalities.
Internally as well, learning how to delegate took time, practice and patience. Each time I delegate something to my team, I am taking a leap of faith and putting trust in someone else.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
Nari Creative specializes in branding, website design, and ongoing graphic designs for influencers, entrepreneurs, and e-commerce businesses. One of the things we’re known for is for helping some of the top influencers break into the product space with gorgeous online stores and super “vibey” gorgeous packaging. People also love our ultra elevated and fully custom blog websites.
One thing that sets Nari apart from other agencies is that we not only design the branding and the website, but also assist our clients with their weekly graphic design needs. We don’t just create for our clients, we partner and grow with them.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
I have had a lot of really wonderful designer friends and mentors throughout my career. I’ll take this question as an opportunity to shout them out! + My cousin Jackie Littman (Digital Product Experience Designer at Huge) opened my world to art at a very young age.
+ Ali Kleeman (Art Director at The Oxford Club) a friend from home gave me guidance on how to get into the limited enrollment design program at University of Maryland
+ I met one of my greatest friends in that program at UMD, Brittany O’Brien (Founder of the viral studio Brittany Paige) has always been my confidant in the daily struggles we face as small business owners
+ Olivia Austin (Founder of Current Design Studio) and Anna Nassery (Founder of Lumina) not only taught me how to scale Nari Creative step by step, but also helped me to learn how to build the business around the life I wanted to live.
+ Melissa Levenson (Melissa Harans Studio) and Jordan Watz (Studio 9 Co) are my daily sounding boards – we share the wins, the woes, and everything in between
Without these women, I truly don’t think I would be where I’m at today, and Nari wouldn’t be the beautiful beast that it has become.
