Today we’d like to introduce you to Bas And Priska Waijers

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?

Our love started under challenging circumstances. We met in a Facebook group of like-minded, free-thinking spiritual people. We were both drawn to each other’s energies, so we began to hang out online. At that time, Bas lived in the Netherlands, and Priska resided in Switzerland.

Bas could suddenly see, feel, and smell Priska during a global meditation. This experience blew him off his socks, for he had never experienced anything like it. Priska had the same experience and was freaked out about the amount of love she felt during Bas’ energetic presence. After the second meditation a week later, where the same magical phenomenon occurred, Bas dared to open up about what had happened. At that point, Priska felt encouraged to share her experiences with him.

While Priska was scared to the bones, Bas insisted on visiting her in Switzerland to find out what was connecting them, so we met a few months later at the airport in Basel, Switzerland. It was immediately apparent that this love was not just a meditation trick; we both wanted to be together.

Half a year after this first meeting, Priska migrated to the Netherlands with her dog and everything she owned in the trunk of a car.

An exciting detail: It was only later that Bas realized that he had been night-dreaming about Priska since he was eight years old and that the dark-haired girl disappeared the day they met. Priska, too, always connected with Bas in her dreams without ever seeing his face—although she remembered talking English to him, which only made sense to her when they met.

Our extraordinary love has been tested in many forms and ways, but our belief in conscious love, truth, and freedom helped us conquer it all and grow even stronger together.

We both felt that our union had a mission beyond enjoying ourselves together. We founded our business, The Love Alchemists, dedicated to healing the wounding between men and women, the masculine and the feminine.

We started as relationship mentors and later added men’s and women’s work.

Before we met, we already had diverse degrees in teaching, coaching, and spiritual healing work.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?

It hasn’t been a smooth road in any way.
When we met under the earlier described circumstances, Bas was still a married man. So, you can imagine how challenging and painful this has been for everybody involved.

Yet we believe this sometimes tricky process was part of our evolution as human beings and as a couple.

In addition to that, Bas was struggling with health problems, and with it came some financial challenges. Not to mention the blended family situation, which has been no walk in the park for Priska specifically. Living in a new country, in a different culture with no previous knowledge of the language, being a stepmother overnight without any family support wasn’t always easy.

So, in the first 3 years of our relationship, we went through as much as other couples probably experienced in a lifetime.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?

We have specialized in Sacred Men’s and Women’s work – and how we can bring those together.

In 2023, we founded the Hieros Gamos Mystery School—the Mystery School of the Sacred Feminine and Masculine, in which we bring back the sacred for both men and women in online group sessions.

We talk about history or the often buried her-story, hold sacred ceremonies with meditations and guided journeys, and celebrate the celebrations of the holy wheel of the year.

Bas also leads men’s groups in which men find out what it means to be a man in today’s world.

Priska holds women’s groups exploring what it means to walk the earth as a sacred woman in modern times.

There are many men coaches and priestesses out there, but our specialty is that we have a way of combining the two, as we believe that this is the deep medicine this world needs.

The healing of the wound between the masculine and feminine (within and without) allows us to co-create in a safe space.

In a bit more down-to-earth language, we believe that if men and women could find more balance within and start trusting each other more, we could lead much happier and more fulfilled lives in all ways.

Before we let you go, we’ve got to ask if you have any advice for those who are just starting out?

Trust your instincts and yourself.
Period.
There is so much noise out there; everybody will tell you to do it differently. Pick your teachers wisely and stay in your lane. Trust your gut and believe in yourself.
