Bailey Renée began as a way for me to reconnect with creativity and mindfulness. I attended fashion school and worked briefly in New York’s fashion industry, where the fast-paced environment left me feeling disconnected from the artistry I loved. When COVID-19 struck, I turned to meditation—a practice I’d been exploring for years—and natural dyeing as a way to ground myself.

What started as a meditative practice blossomed into a creative business. Each collection is produced in small batches by a women-owned sewing studio in India and dyed naturally using plants. Through this process, I’ve built a brand rooted in ease, fluidity, and timeless design, guided by my love for nature and sustainability.

I’m incredibly grateful for the journey and the opportunity to bring mindfulness into everyday life through my work.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?

It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road, but it’s been a deeply rewarding one. Starting Bailey Renée has been a journey of patience and commitment, where every challenge has shaped the brand into what it is today.

One of the biggest learning curves has been communicating with manufacturers. Building trust and creating clear systems of operation took time, as did understanding production timelines and how to balance my creative vision with practical realities. Learning how to streamline processes while staying true to the values of sustainability and craftsmanship has been a continuous evolution.

Building a website was another challenge—I had no prior experience, so it was a steep learning curve. From designing a cohesive brand identity online to understanding the nuances of e-commerce, it required trial and error and a lot of persistence.

What’s kept me grounded through it all is the belief in creating something meaningful and lasting. In a world that often prioritizes instant gratification, I’ve chosen to focus on thoughtful growth—whether it’s producing small-batch collections, nurturing relationships, or improving systems one step at a time.

It hasn’t always been easy, but the journey has taught me the value of patience, adaptability, and staying connected to the original purpose behind my work.

At Bailey Renée, I create contemporary, small-batch collections that merge mindful design with ethical craftsmanship. Every piece begins with an intention—to craft timeless silhouettes that embody ease, beauty, and a deep connection to nature. What sets the brand apart is the integration of natural dyeing, using plants to create colors that feel alive and harmonious, as well as a commitment to sustainability in every step of the process.

I’m most proud of how each collection reflects a slow, intentional process. The garments are sewn by a women-owned studio in India, crafted in limited quantities to reduce waste, and dyed with care to ensure every piece feels unique and personal.
