Today we’d like to introduce you to Azure Zane.
Hi Azure, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Azure Zane, and I got my start as a singer by growing up in church. Since then, I have performed in talent shows and local open mics as a hobby. However, it wasn’t until Summer 2024 that I began to take songwriting and production seriously. I started to fully embrace my dream of being an acclaimed singer/songwriter. Each show gives me an experience that has helped me improve as an act overall.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
The main challenge I have experienced as an indie artist is having a clear plan and adhering to it so that my music can reach its target audience. Without a label dumping lots of money into pushing an artist, one must be able to organize a plan, gather resources, and be consistent to be successful.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am an artist who is known for writing pop and R&B records. I am most proud of reaching almost 1700 streams on my song “Slave to the Groove” because that is the most I have reached for a song that is not a feature. How I talk about love sets me apart from others because my songs are largely based on experiences that I have had, and no one can tell my story better than me.
If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
I was a kid who loved to be the center of attention. I wanted to make people happy and be loved back. I have always been fascinated with music because it is a unifying force that brings people together. I was mesmerized by icons such as Michael Jackson and Usher because when they would perform, people would hang onto their every word.
