Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Amato
Hi Alexis, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
When I was in my late 20s, I started working for hotels in the sales and marketing departments. When I eventually got onto the executive team I actually did a lot of traveling for my job as a sales manager and I got to visit a lot of beautiful hotel properties and eat at really nice restaurants that our properties owned or that I got to take clients. I decided when Instagram started becoming really popular that I wanted to become a food blogger. I always took pictures of my food anyways and so to me this was just another way to have a creative outlet and do something that I really loved. I did this for about five years until the pandemic happened. Of course, it was no secret that the travel industry took a huge hit during the pandemic and unfortunately, after going to part time for half of a year, I eventually was furloughed. At this time, there became a demand for a lot of restaurants and brands in the area to create awareness for their brands and so I used my social media skills to start my company that I have now, Sips Productions, LLC. I started with managing one to three accounts and now I have a team of two people that assist me not including our contractors, and we are 10 accounts and counting.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I wish I could say it has been a smooth road but it definitely has come with it’s challenges. I think realizing that not all people pay things on time or hold to their promises was a struggle for me. At the beginning of my media company, it was super casual, so I didn’t do contracts or anything and when people asked to pay me late, I always said OK. I now have boundaries with this and am very set on my contracts. We won’t even start your account until a deposit is in and contract signed. I also learned a lot about myself and how much I can take things personally. If a brand would go to someone else or I had to fire an employee, it would be very hard for me and I had to really learn to have those tough conversations with not only other people but also myself.
Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
Aside from hosting a media company, I teach other women how to build their own businesses by using not only business strategy but the power of Manifestation. I’m a master Manifestation and Mindset coach and use this in both my media company and to mento women. I host business and manifestation retreats all around the world so I can help women break the barriers of what they think COULD happen in their life, so they can step into abundance and begin manifesting more success, more client, more money, and more love. I’m most proud of being able to see the women that I mentor have thriving businesses and create connections that last and give them future opportunities.
Who else deserves credit in your story?
