It’s wild out there and the struggle is real. Entrepreneurship is no joke, everyday is a new challenge, a new up, a new down, it never stops. The action, the drama, the energy is addictive and it’s why so many never want to retire from entrepreneurship. We’ve asked some very talented entrepreneurs to share some of those crazy stories with us.

That’s a tough question to answer for a guy like me, there’s been crazy events here and a lot of my menu even is what most would probably deem crazy! One of the craziest things about launching Cave Valley Kava is it being the first ever kava specific business concept in Kentuckiana and most of the surrounding region too. I constantly find myself having to explain to people what kava is, which can get redundant but being able to educate folks about something that can lead to healthier life choices for them is important to me because I enjoy helping others. One of the craziest things that happened with our business was when we unexpectedly landed a high-profile client. It happened as we were sourcing new opportunities and landed a client who turned out to be the wife of an NFL player. At first, we were ecstatic at the prospect of working with this new client, but we soon realized that this partnership would come with unique challenges. Read more>>

Honestly my whole sneaker art career has been an amazing, unreal story! Everything took off and happened so fast!! I’ve been doing art my whole entire life but struggled to find a place as an artist or what I really wanted to do with it. One day in June 2017 I decided to get up and paint an extra pair of Timberland boots I had. I painted Mickey Mouse on them because I love Mickey Mouse. I posted them on Instagram and life literally took off from that day forward! Read more>>

Honestly I have 2 that are neck and neck for my craziest experiences, one is when we sat the new Record in the Guinness Book of World Records for longest/ biggest runway show with 431 models walking the runway & it was also a fundraiser for Cancer survivors. It was a cool experience for sure! And also I recently got to OPEN my first runway show on 1/11 and that was the cherry on top, the show being that day. Read more>>

In June of 2022, I came back from Brazil, after my sister’s wedding, straight to tour of 2,5 months with The Red Elvises. The band picked me up at the LAX airport and we started the tour in the USA. I was super excited and happy because I could spent a month in Brazil with my family. In the first week of the tour, I fell down the stairs of the stage and sprained my right ankle (the most important foot for a drummer). Read more>>

This story still leaves me speechless and I have to replay the video to remind myself that it really did happen. The day was already off to an incredible start. My husband Jake and I were in Toronto with our good friend and visually impaired model, Mara Hutchinson (@atemara). We were on the set of Cityline, Canada’s longest running daytime television show, and we were getting ready to film a segment together on inclusive fashion, which would feature my clothing brand Aille Design (pronounced: eye). The beginning of Entrepreneurship started off crazy hahaha. In December of 2016, me and my then 1.5 yr old were homeless. That was a rock bottom I never thought i’d see but there I was. I realized that being someone everyone else expected me to be got me nowhere, so I vowed to GOD that if He got me out of there, I would do whatever it took to be who He’s called me to be. I prayed and HE gave me the idea to start a business I just didn’t know what. Ironically, a friend of mine called me randomly and suggested taking “business classes” at some place in NJ called Rising Tide. Read more>>

I learned right out of the entrepreneurial gate to embrace “crazy” and dive into the land of taking risks. In 2001, I had my dream job. I was General Counsel for a corporation with a diversity of invigorating roles including handling the legal affairs, overseeing Human Resources and heavily involved in operations as a Senior VP. I enjoyed significant perks and benefits with my position. Read more>>

Promoting my online program initially posed a considerable challenge, especially in the aftermath of widespread struggles with online programming during the COVID era. Many families were hesitant to try my program due to their previous negative experiences with online schooling, making it tough to convey the unique value of my program. Undeterred, I persisted in showcasing the benefits and emphasizing how my approach differed. Read more>>

I was doing my friend Nadine nails and her nails always take awhile because we are always talking and never really know what design we are gonna do plus she likes her nails super long. We finally came up with a design and once i finished it was around 11 o clock at night and i took my content video and i posted it to my instagram and about 5 mins later i seen a comment from iamcardib and i was skeptical if it was really her so i asked my friends and they were like “YES THATS REALLY HER” and i just remember we started screaming and yelling that Cardi b commented on my nails it was a exciting day for me and I’ll always remember it like it was yesterday. The beginning of our business, Kokoleka Collective, was beyond magic. Our Co-Founders, Carlos and Krystal, met on a deeply spiritual journey to study with our teacher, Keith Wilson. Carlos drove South all the way from the Bay Area to Guatemala because of a vision he had of a man with a long beard, who turned out to be our teacher Keith Wilson. I traveled to Guatemala from Portugal based on a continuous voice that told me to return to Guatemala to study with Keith again. Read more>>
