We were lucky to catch up with Stefanie Renteria recently and have shared our conversation below.
Stefanie, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about the best advice you’ve ever given to a client?
Thank you for having me! Truly, telling my patients when it is time to stop injections so that they do not appear overfilled remains some of the best advice I could give.
Go to an injector that isn’t afraid to tell you no. Period. Aesthetic advancements should advance the beauty that is already present. Getting ahead of the facial aging process begins with knowledge and artistry, and does not require over-filling.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Of course! I am Stefanie. I’ve been a registered nurse for almost five years. I was born and raised in Fort Worth Texas most of my life. I graduated nursing school in 2020 in the midst of all the crazy surrounding COVID and started my nursing career thereafter. That being said, I was pretty much emotionally and physically drained going into my second year of nursing, and I knew for a fact I still wanted to do nursing, but in a different area. This is what led me to aesthetics. I personally had my first set of lip filler done in 2022 and fell in love with the world of aesthetics! I found Kiara as I like to say, we crossed paths for a reason. I met her in a very vulnerable part of my life and she graciously offered me this opportunity to learn and train under her at Botox Bar. It’s been a great 2 years and I’ve met so many great people from our sweet patients, to reps and other great injectors!
At Botox Bar we provide a variety of treatments specializing in injectables! My favorite treatment will forever be the lip enhancement. This treatment as well as our others, is patient specific, we don’t have a “one size” fits all mindset. Each one of our patients is given a “game” plan in regard to their care, that is tailored to their face anatomy.
My favorite part of this job is seeing our patients come back and hearing how happy they are with their care. I specifically have one example of a time where a patient came in wanting a certain treatment which I genuinely think she did not need. After she explained to me what she wanted and what her goals were, I sat down with her and explained to her that although she may think she needs enhancement in these specific areas, I did not think that would work best for the long run. We had a very thorough consultation and in the end we came up with a treatment plan that would be safe and she would feel great about herself. Now till this day she thanks me each time she sees me that I did not let her follow through with what she initially thought she needed and she is glad she trusted me. I love building a great rapport with my patients and being honest with them. Which is a quality I feel like all injectors should have. Being honest and realistic with our patients will always work out better in the long run.
I find that our patients come back to us because we are a genuine team of injectors that work together with the same goal to provide safe and effective care for our patients. We also have a great social media manager who goes all out with promoting our events as well as providing educational topics for our patients.
Other than training/knowledge, what do you think is most helpful for succeeding in your field?
One thing that I think sets me apart from others is I typically like to build a relationship with my patients, by sharing something personal about myself and making them feel comfortable in our chair. I like to say this is their time to treat themselves as well as destress or vent because whatever is said in our suite stays in our suite.
I really do enjoy this career and I hope to grow alongside my amazing coworkers. I am so proud of all 8 of our injectors, they are all a group empowering women, that support you and that’s the kind of team you want to be on! Like what a dream to go to work and feel like it isn’t actually a job! I plan to continue to learn new techniques and attend as many training/seminars as possible to provide the best care for lovely patients. I am so excited for what’s to come!
What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Career Advancement: Being involved in all the classes, additional trainings, and hands-on learning opportunities that I can allows my confidence and skills to grow so that I can be a better injector for my patients. A great injector will invest in continuing education to make themselves stand out for their patients. Staying up to date on the latest trends and products, learning a new techniques every month, or collaborating with other injectors and learning their work all come into play.
