Being a business owner isn’t easy. There are amazing highs, but the lows are often quite intense as well. Somedays it feels like the problems never stop – regardless of how much success you achieve. The problems just grow, evolve, morph. So we asked business owners if they sometimes wonder what it would be like to just have a regular job and have shared some of the highlights below.

I am happier as a business owner, but there are moments when the demands of the role make me wonder what it would be like to have a simpler, more predictable life. One of those moments hit me on an 11-hour flight back to LAX from Barcelona. My favorite part of the business side is wearing my uniform–it makes me feel like a superhero. So yes, I am very happy and satisfied with my role as a business owner. Selecting the design and color of one’s uniform is harder than you think, it’s a representation of who I am and what we do as a company. When I started Events by BBG I had a regular full time , a 9 to 5 job. I did both Wedding planning and my “day job” full time for almost 5 years. I decided to leave that job one day after I applied for a completely remote position and ended up not getting it. I can whole heartedly say , I am completely happier being a business owner and being on my own.
