We were lucky to catch up with Viktoriya Cole recently and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Viktoriya, thanks for joining us today. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I believe that true success will stem out of a passion that you cultivate and perfect in order share with others as well as solve specific problems in our society.
My passion work for design and DIY. I found this passion when I started having kids and needed an outlet to decompress. It grew into something more than just an outlet. It became my passion. I now work with people to re-imagine their spaces which means that I’m doing bigger DIYs in a form of renovations. I find so much fulfillment in what I do.

Viktoriya, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I’ve always been really good with my hands and it surprises many people when I tell them that I work with saws and drills. I would always say that I would take a tool over a luxury purse any day lol. I started with furniture flipping about 7 years ago and now I build furniture and work with clients to design and renovate their space. I like to say luxury on a budget. We all can have an expensive taste but it doesn’t mean that it should be expensive. There’s ways to be creative and get what you want with just some creative planning and some DIYing. I don’t just like to design, but I like to get my hands dirty and do the actual work. I find the whole process very satisfying and of course to see the clients reaction is the icing on top.

What’s been the most effective strategy for growing your clientele?
Honestly doing great work and being authentic. People will promote you to others. If you do good work, it inevitable that your clients will show off their spaces to friends and family and get recommended for more work. Also sharing your work on social media by creating reels that reflect your work helps to get your name out there as well.

Can you talk to us about how your funded your business?
I started with furniture flipping and when I sold the piece I finished I would buy something bigger and two pieces and you just keep doing that you have a consistent flow. Once I had a lot of experience under my belt, we started making larger investments, such as flipping a house. I know that’s not as easy as a piece of furniture but the bigger the investment the bigger the opportunity for profit.
