We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Sergei Rozhko a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Sergei, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s start with a story that highlights an important way in which your brand diverges from the industry standard.
My niche is unique – creativity in business. I help people to find creative solutions for their businesses in such aspects as marketing, strategy and risk-management. Latter is becoming more and more relevant with all the changes in economics. Moreover I put effort and attention to personal mindset of the business owner to truly empower people to act free and be free in life and business. Many coaches I met work using “safe approach” for client, allowing room for safe decisions and ignoring the experiment part of life and business. Nowadays markets, structures, energies are changing so fast that it’s just impossible to stay “in your lane” no matter what. Customer will easily get bored or won’t see the value you are providing for them if you are not growing and developing every day. Some methods will work for a while, however, the cycle is never ending. As long as you live, keep improving yourself and your business. Old business models are collapsing and cracking under pressure. I help people to see new opportunities.
As an example I will tell you a story of my client. He has company who builds sets for movies in Los Angeles area. And you probably heard of WGA strike which put all the businesses connected to the industry on hold.
After breaking down all the key index numbers and highlighting pros I suggested him switching to a different market that hasn’t been affected by the strike – Youtubers. He reached out to bunch of creators and could close 3 deals on designing and building sets for videos soon enough.
Without creative approach we would be still riding horses not cars and never invented an airplane.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
Hello there =) My name is Sergei Rozhko. My artist name is Saint Serge. I was born in Russia, traveled around the world, moved to USA just 4 years ago and it’s been a wild ride since then. No matter who you were in the past, when you start your life in a different country you are nobody. And it’s a perfect place to start, actually! It allowed my to rediscover myself as an artist and entrepreneur in a completely new way.
Nowadays my main focus goes towards two areas of action:
1. I am a performing singer/songwriter
2. I am a creative business coach
These two crafts are aligning perfectly as they possibly could, because new technologies make us forget today what was a breakthrough yesterday. If you will tell me that you are living just fine with the same approach you always used to live, that means you are either a monk or a hermit which I respect.
However, the new world requires us all to step up, to grow as spiritual beings, we are not just humans. More and more people are becoming super humans every day. And that is what I am helping them with.
You see, before we could rely on external systems to certain extent. We were taught that a big, general system will provide for us. On specific conditions, of course. Now it is obvious that if I don’t accept those conditions, I can freely create my own system in order to provide for myself.
Here comes the main challenge – to build my own system I have to align my beliefs, empower myself with confidence and bravery, say goodbye to old patterns which were holding me back from taking action.
For example, I was pulling up to a gas station the first week after bought a Tesla. It takes time to restructure your mind and even your body to be a new you. I lead my clients providing tools and techniques not only for business solution search and also for grounding, balancing the energy, living in harmony.
We can make all the money in the world and be stressed, sad, unhealthy.
Like song has an energy of artist who writes it and performs it, business carries energy of it’s founder and owner.
I help business owners to create energy in their businesses and also I help creative/talented people showcase their work, attract clients, gain confidence.
Every day I hear old beliefs that artists don’t make money or there is no room for creativity in business. Advertising is the most creative niche of all and we have to master it, otherwise no matter how good your product is, it won’t reach the people.
Artists can make a living from their art if they believe in it.
I went a long road of personal transformation. From insecure, shy, addicted to adult content single guy to creative professional, managing big projects, producing, releasing and performing music, transforming peoples lives and building happy relationships.
I am excited for my path and believe that the universe is communicating with us through challenges, blessings and energy.
Each of us has unique talent and deserve more abundance.
We often hear about learning lessons – but just as important is unlearning lessons. Have you ever had to unlearn a lesson?
With my spiritual awakening a lot of my thought patterns became useless. They probably were always that way, I just refused to notice. The main lesson to unlearn for me was following my emotions. I used to be reactive instead of being proactive. This way of being didn’t allow me create possibilities in my life and maintain meaningful connections. When we react following emotions, mechanisms in our brains are coloring the situation, people and circumstances. If something triggered your jealousy, anger or sadness, you will color the situation that way, blocking a huge palette of possibilities in any given moment with any given person.
For me the biggest emotion was anger. And I didn’t even express it, it always went inward harming my health. Angry people usually have very weak health by the age of 45. I am so glad I worked on it earlier in life!
How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Since I moved to the United States 4 years ago there were a few moments like this. The most pivotal of them happened when I finished working for a big project of my friend. For two years we were creating a personal brand and producing the biggest national tour with breathwork events. I played multiple roles in that project and was so busy that didn’t really have time for my personal life and music which I am very passionate about. So when my friend told me that he wants me to pursue my own dream and stop building his, I came to the point when I have all the resources and energy necessary to invest in myself. However, that shift didn’t come easy for me. Being used to manage everything at once, at first I struggled to identify the main area I should guide my focus. As a result I was spreading myself too thin. I even wanted to write a book, an album and make a documentary at the same time! Information was just coming in, ideas were flowing into my mind. I decided to concentrate my attention on just two things that I do the best: writing/performing music and coaching people to get out of their own way. All the other interests of mine are waiting to be unfolded and I am constantly learning new things in those areas.
Feels like when I turnt 30 years old, my journey as a conscious individual had just began.
