In the world of musical instrument sales there has long been a certain machismo attitude that permeates most of the retail culture and advertising. My background has a lot of turns that intersect but didn’t always meet gracefully – working for guitar builders and vintage guitar shops and also growing up as a teenaged songwriter in a queer female fronted band with a loyal following showed two extreme ends of a spectrum. I always thought walking into a music store should be a pleasant experience for anyone and wanted to work to close that gap. Read more>>

Although there are so many amazing and beautiful ways to decorate events these days, many of the current trends can be wasteful – the amount of garbage, paper and plastic waste from one wedding averages at a massive 400 pounds. When considering the amount of weddings that take place just in a single weekend in the United States, that is a quite lot! Read more>>

There is a ton of business content focusing on marketing and sales. We get it! Those things are sexy. Who doesn’t want more customers?! In our 10 years in business, we’ve noticed that too many are focused on that though and often neglect what is needed to support more customers. A home’s interior design can be gorgeous, but without the foundation and the framing, the wiring and plumbing, the drywall and the insulation there is no beautiful home for people to see. Read more>>

My focus from the start was to stay direct to consumer. Most designers look to get their product placed in stores via wholesale accounts, but I approached it a little different. I like touching the people and getting real time feedback on the product. Its just something about being the point of contact for all my customers and having them come directly thru me to get something they love. Read more>>

When most people think about having family pictures taken, they think about portraits where everyone is grouped together and looking at the camera. Portraits are important parts of our family’s visual history, but I offer a different way for families to be photographed. With my approach, there is no struggle to get everyone dressed in nice clothes, no rush to get to a location at a special time, no real preparation at all. I photograph families’ lives, the ordinary moments that make up our time together with the people who matter most. I come to the home and hang out with the family and do my best to see and capture who they are as a unit. Read more>>

When we raise beef, we focus on ensuring that they are fed only high-quality, local, and all-natural ingredients. All of our beef is pasture raised, but instead of just taking them off the pasture, we bring them into a feeding area where we feed and care for them to ensure that they are healthy, happy, and being fed exactly what they need. All of our beef is hand fed with a diet designed by our staff nutritionist. Read more>>

Local farmers / market gardeners typically grow, harvest, prep, and take their produce to sell at farmers markets, farm stands, run a CSA, or sell wholesale to restaurants and distributers. This is a tremendous amount of work for a small farm and the profitability is extremely low. Four years ago we gave up all other distribution channels and now operate a pick-your-own agritourism destination, allowing us to grow more than quadruple what we used to with significantly less work. I take the time to listen to my clients in a way that I can interpret what they aren’t saying but trying to say. I’ve been jokingly called the mind reading stylist haha. I watch body language I look at photos in depth and ask multiple questions. I dig into their everyday routine and ask about what they wish they could achieve with their hair on a daily basis and what they really do. Most importantly and above all else though, I build long lasting relationships with my clients. Read more>>
