We were lucky to catch up with Kbeautty recently and have shared our conversation below.
Kbeautty, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. I’m sure there have been days where the challenges of being an artist or creative force you to think about what it would be like to just have a regular job. When’s the last time you felt that way? Did you have any insights from the experience?
Doing what I do definitely outs a smile on my face. Making other people say and bringing people together because of my videos is the best part of creating content. And I’m so deep into the game I believe God wants me to continue my faith because although it gets hard, I haven’t worked a job since 2019
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I started being consistent with my content around 2020-2021 and everything took off after that. I also do custom painted work and that includes: shoes, clothes , canvases, car interior basically anything that paint can go on , I can customize it. I model, comedian, act and write music. I’m a jack of all trades, I never like to limit myself so I throw all my talents at the wall and see which one sticks. My goal is to be an inspiration in the entertainment/television industry. We don’t have a lot of real and self made people to look up to. Everything is bought or borrowed and I want to be that woman that people look up to and inspire to be like.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding aspect of being an creative is seeing or hearing peoples reaction. Or when someone might hit me up and say they weren’t having a good day but my video or post made they’re day much easier
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
Everything isn’t as good as it seems. You have to put in the work and be consistent and disciplined while doing it. A lot of people see numbers and automatically assume as soon as they start they will get the same interaction. You have to start at the bottom and work your way up. And that will determine the hungry from the starving
