Sarah, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I am a young woman who decide to move across the world 11 years ago to follow her dreams. From Belgium to New York City and end up in Los Angeles. I have been blessed through my journey to travel all over the world and met amazing people and opportunities. Working professionaly has an entertainer for more that 10 years. Dancer, choreographer, artist development, acting, … and still exploring and having fun working in the industry alongside amazing other talents. Started teaching at 16 years old for kids dance competitions until I decide I wanted expend my career as a professional dancer so I moved to NYC. I joined the internationnal program at the Broadway dance center and got casted to be part of celebrity choreographer dance company Rhapsody James “ME” before I made the move to Hollywood. Got the chance to work with major artists like Bebe Rexha, Lil Wayne, Becky g, Kendrick Lamar, Wiz Khalifa…
We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
When I first joined social media I had no idea how to use it so I decide to create visuals that match my own world and personality. My audience slowly build up over the years while I was sharing my random everyday personal/professional life experiences. If I have to give some tips, don’t be afraid to be creative, get off your comfort zone. Stay consistent with your content. Be your own trend, stay true to who you are, people online want to see the real and discuss the fake. But surely don’t take social media too seriously, use the platform to showcase your art and have fun.
For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?
The most rewarding aspect on being a creative / artist is definitely see your vision come to life. What an amazing feeling. Sometime creating process can be overwhelming but the feeling on the final result make it all worthy. It also help you grow and learn on your craft. Help you to open to new visions and experiment new things while creating.
Also to keep you creating more, different, to do better, bigger, sharing or even collaborating with others creatives and start a movement.
