Alright, Markese thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?

I’ve chosen a creative and artistic path because I have a talent for allowing people to express their truth and challenging them beyond just seeking success and fame. My abilities as an interviewer, along with my skill in engaging conversations, have inspired me to pursue this as a career. The freedom to shape your work without constraints also motivates your choice. It’s a wonderful journey I’m embarking on!

I am a multifaceted individual, balancing the role of an educator by day while exploring various creative avenues. As a podcaster, aspiring journalist, and model, I’ve entered the creative sphere when I realized people were eager to hear my voice. My knack for holding authentic conversations and asking insightful questions became evident, shaping the essence of my podcast (BTL Podcast Between The Lines) focused on entrepreneurship, entertainment, and self-help. Through these conversations, I empower my audience to recognize that the answers they seek lie within themselves.

What truly sets me apart is my unwavering persistence and eagerness to master my craft. My ability to pivot, embrace change, and venture into new territories showcases my adaptability and determination. My passion for this creative endeavor is evident, and I aspire to turn it into a full-time pursuit, with the hope of monetizing my efforts. My journey is a testament to my resilience and continuous desire to learn, making me a unique and inspiring presence in the world of podcasting and beyond.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Building a solid audience on social media requires a combination of consistency, authenticity, and strategic efforts. Some strategies that worked for me were; Identifying my Niche, determining the specific topics or themes I want to focus on. Tailoring my content to cater to this audience, creating a niche for yourself. Also being authentic! Authenticity is crucial. Be genuine in your interactions, share personal experiences, and let your unique personality shine through. People are drawn to authenticity. Consistent posting; Regularity is key to staying relevant. Consistent content keeps your audience engaged and expecting more. Quality Content; Focus on creating high-quality content.Invest time in creating visually appealing and informative content. Engaging with my Audience; Respond to comments, messages, and mentions. Engaging with your audience makes them feel valued and encourages them to stay connected and much more, this at least worked for me. .

For those just starting Define Your Goals; Understand why you’re on social media. Learn from Others; study successful influencers or content creators in your niche. Lastly, patience and perseverance. Building a substantial audience takes time. Be patient and keep refining your approach based on what your audience responds to. Remember, building a significant social media presence is a journey that requires dedication, authenticity, and a willingness to learn and adapt.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

I aim to unveil the layers beneath the surface, demonstrating that there’s more to individuals than just the glitz and glamour often showcased to the world. You recognize the trials and perseverance that hide behind every person’s public image.

My purpose is profound: to bring these stories to the forefront, showcasing the struggles, challenges, and resilience that define people’s journeys. By sharing these narratives, I aspire to inspire others who are going through similar experiences, offering a beacon of hope. My message is clear: no matter the obstacles, with determination and perseverance, anyone can overcome adversity and achieve their goals. My work stands as a testament to the strength of the human spirit and the power of persistence.
