We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Vitality . We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Vitality below.
Hi Vitality , thanks for joining us today. To kick things off, we’d love to hear about things you or your brand do that diverge from the industry standard.
As Far As Differentialities, My Brand Differs From Our Consumers Being From All Different Back Grounds. Rather Rich Or Poor, & Still Being Able To Understand Or Relate To The Fact That Its Necessary To Consider All Parties Involved. With My Podcast I Strived To Reach People Of All Ages. Challenging Different Perspectives To Find A Common Solution. I Speak To Men & Women Of All Different Backgrounds & Religions. & We All Still Learn From Each other Considering Our Differences. With My Music, I Always Spoke On Topics I Knew Could Be Relatable But Also Respectable. Some People Love When I Sing While Others Love More Of The Bars & When I Rap. Being Transparent & Authentic Is Very Important. Especially When It Comes To Establishing A Brand. It’s Important To Consider What You Individually Contribute.
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well Of Course I Go By Vitality,
I Am Rapper, Singer, Model, Poet, Actor.
I Have A Podcast Titled “Vital Televised” Where We Allow Experienced Individuals To Voice Their Opinions On Matters In Our Media & Community. When It Comes To Art Music Has Been One Of My Most Influential Inspirations. I’ve Been Singing Since Young From Church To School Choirs, To Studios. Also Rapping Since I Was In Grade School. Doing Solos Since 11. I Never Felt Like Performing Was For Entertainment. If Anything My Individual Right. Especially Considering The Feedback I Would Receive. I Started My Podcast With The Intentions To Enlighten My Peers On Mental Health. & How Alot Of Our Parents Didn’t Have Time To Invest In Their Mental Health. Therefore We All Are Still Processing Unresolved Childhood Traumas. Awareness Is So Important. One Of The Things That I Am Most Proud Of. Would Be Considering Even Though Talented. I Established My Brand At 22 & Now Seeing How I Have A Strong Support & A Following, Makes Me Want To Take It Even Further. People Who Listen To My Music For The First Time Instantly Become A Subscriber. It Almost Feels Like I Know Them Personally. I Get Emails & DMs From People All Over Telling Me To Keep Going & How They Love A Song Or Was Inspired By A Podcast Episode On The Way To Work. Everyone Individually Has Managed To Support The Cause In Ways I Never Would Have Imagined. & To Me It’s Always Important To Get The Community Involved. Because When One Of Us Wins It Only Opens Doors For Someone Else’s Future. One Of The Things That Set Me Apart From Other People Is That I Am Not Scared Of Being My Own Person Even If The Risk Is Failing. If I Had To Consider Every Negative That Came With This Industry. How You Are Expected To Be Perfect. To Actually Consider Yourself Someone People Can Rely On. It Comes With A Scrutiny That Most People Can’t Take. I Personally Have Never Been Scared Of Going Against The Grain. Being A Leader Comes With Opposition, But As Long As You Have Something To Stand For. It’s Necessary To Always See It Through. If You Could Only Imagine The People You Could Actually Help Or Give A Voice To Just By Being You.
Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?
Becoming A Entrepreneur Right After Highschool Was One Of The Hardest Decisions I Ever Had To Make. Considering I Myself Was Still Evolving & Learning About A Industry. That Was Built On Money & Not Integrity. The Pandemic Also Stopped A lot Of Traveling & Showcases I Had Lined Up. Basically Resulting In Me “Modeling” For A Year. A-lot Of People Will Never Tell The Upcoming Artist How. Being Independent Without A Team Or Backing. You Have To Pay For Studio Time, Music Videos, ShowCase Traveling & More. All With The Risk To Make At least Half Of It Back. Being A Independent Artist Is Not For The Weak. Especially When You Don’t Make Music For Just Money. Seeing I’m Establishing A “Well Respected” Brand That Will Also Create Lanes For My Peers. It Will Take Resilience, Patience & Much Discipline
Alright – let’s talk about marketing or sales – do you have any fun stories about a risk you’ve taken or something else exciting on the sales and marketing side?
In 2021 I Moved To LA To Invest In My Modeling Career. It Was In The Middle Of The Pandemic & Jobs Were Low, Unless You Worked From Home. Underestimating The Maximum Of Talent The Industry Became Even More Competitive. Leaving Behind My Already Established Following To Gain A New One. Which Considered Time. Was More Of A Set Back Then Anything. Initially Leading Me To Starting Back Over. But Eventually With Much Anticipation Re-Establishing My Old Followers & Even Some New Ones. Now With More Experience, Respect & Knowledge. I Established A Portfolio Added To My & Added To My Resume
