We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Linden Schaffer a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Linden, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The genesis of my business idea can be traced back to the heart of the pandemic, a period marked by global uncertainty and a pervasive mental health crisis. I vividly remember when isolation and anxiety were becoming the new normal. I, too, was personally searching for new wellness solutions and ways to navigate the challenges of the of times.
Around this time, some groundbreaking psychedelic research emerged, showing the remarkable efficacy of these medicines in treating a range of mental health issues from depression and anxiety to alcohol use disorder and PTSD. It was a glimmer of hope amidst the gloom and began to address the growing need for holistic mental health support.
Drawing upon my deep-rooted interest in the therapeutic potential of psychedelics and backed by almost two decades of experience in the wellness industry, I saw how fast growing this field was becoming with two distinct facets: the medical side and the mystical side, but there was a noticeable gap bridging the two together.
Professionally, my goal was to help startups and small businesses within the space craft strategies that centered on connection, learning, and support—leveraging these transformative tools for both business and personal growth. Personally, I was looking for a space where I could intentionally connect with other womxn on the plant medicine path. That’s when the concept of hosting an in-person womxn’s circle in Los Angeles came to me.
Initially my co-hosts and I partnered with a now defunct Canadian organization to curate an environment where womxn could come together to connect, learn, and be inspired. The response was overwhelming, and soon we had a waitlist for our gatherings. What struck me most was the enthusiasm and hunger for knowledge and community. It was clear that we were onto something special.
It became evident that the appeal of our community extended far beyond the confines of Los Angeles, as people from all over the world were expressing interested in joining our community. With this in mind, I decided to launch “Reveal”, an invite-only online womxn’s community, which aims to be a resource for womxn around the world — a space where we can share experiences, gain insights, and connect intimately with those who truly understand what it’s like to be on this journey. I see this endeavor as worthwhile as it has the potential to make a significant positive impact on the lives of womxn around the world.

As a seasoned entrepreneur, having founded and led two successful ventures, I bring over 15 years of expertise to the dynamic world of wellness. My journey began with the launch of an award-winning wellness hospitality company that has left an enduring impact on the industry. Through that venture, I had the privilege of cultivating a vibrant global community, comprising over 80,000 engaged users, spanning across 17 countries. One of my proudest accomplishments is achieving the status of a #1 bestselling author with my book “Living Well on the Road”.
In recent years, my focus has expanded to include the psychedelic industry, an area where I’ve been passionately engaged. My consulting projects within this space encompass strategic innovation, community cultivation, and the elevation of member experiences. I firmly believe that the integration of psychedelics into holistic wellness practices has the potential to bring about profound transformation.
At the heart of all my work lies the unwavering commitment to drive lasting change. I am dedicated to leaving individuals feeling centered, nourished, and truly acknowledged. How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
Establishing a reputable presence within the wellness industry has been a journey defined by several essential attributes. First and foremost, my determination to challenge the status quo, to persistently question the “why,” and to fearlessly tread uncharted paths, even in the face of adversity. I’ve always been willing to break free from conventional norms, unswayed by the perception of riskiness that others might attach to my unconventional choices.
Reliability has been a linchpin and I’ve made it a point to consistently follow through on my commitments and keep my word. This dedication to fulfilling promises and delivering exceptional experience while consistently surpassing expectations has been a cornerstone of trust and credibility, but has also become a source of referrals and endorsements.

Where do you think you get most of your clients from?
