We recently connected with Jeff Garcia and have shared our conversation below.

Jeff, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?

To be successful, you must be motivated. You must be passionate about what you do. You must believe in yourself so others will believe in you. You must be a team leader but also a team player. Willing to learn something new and keep up with trends. Putting yourself out there so you can network and have a chance of making new business relationships.

Jeff, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

Getting in the photobooth business was easy. I bought the equipment. Now I just needed to find the work. I took the fake it until you make it approach. I had no idea what I was doing. I took a quick lesson and learned some more things online. I stepped in the fire, and I didn’t burn. I was able to book events and learn as I go. I was able to gain a following and grow my relationships. I took care of all requests the customers had. What makes my business different and stand out is me. There is only one and it seems to be working. I’m happy where things are at and excited to continue to grow.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

Get a website. Stand out by having a page all about your business. Explore social media. You don’t have to have every single account just choose the ones that are best for yourself. YouTube is your best friend. Google is your second-best friend. Like and comment on accounts like yours. Make new friends and trade ideas. Just because something didn’t work for them doesn’t mean it won’t work for you.

Any stories or insights that might help us understand how you’ve built such a strong reputation?

Giving myself a chance. Putting me out there. Letting others see and hear me. Putting words into action. I told all my close friends and family I was going to own a photobooth one day. I believed in me. This is what helped me be who I am today. I let others see me and give me a chance to show them what I can do. My work, picture and videos speak for themselves.
