Jewelry is often overlooked as a confidence booster and as being impactful to an overall look. I had a potential customer who was wanting to step out of her comfort zone and try more statement jewelry but she did not know where to start. As a business owner, I love interacting with my followers via DM (Direct Message) and conversing with them about their personal style or answering questions about our jewelry. Her personal style mirrored minimalist style as she felt more comfortable in wearing dainty jewelry. After exchanging multiple messages and sharing example products, she was ready to try something new! She went from only wearing stud earrings to wearing our Eva Disco Hoops and Kimmie Classic Hoops. I am Virginia Foster, Founder of Eclectic Jewels. Eclectic Jewels was founded in 2021 with the mission to provide quality and affordable gold plated jewelry that is inclusive for all. What makes our brand unique is that not only are we an affordable alternative to solid gold jewelry (quality is still very much there), but our jewelry is also sustainable. We specialize in 18k gold-plated stainless steel jewelry that is water-resistant, non-tarnishing (say goodbye to green skin), hypoallergenic (sensitive skin friendly), and environmentally friendly (100% recyclable).

The influence behind Eclectic Jewels is my mother. As a child, I witnessed my mom experiment with her style often. She’s a lover of all things fashion – jewelry, clothes, and shoes. Due to her influence, I noticed that accessorizing became enjoyable for me. Similar to my mom, I too never put myself in a box when it came to style. I knew that I wanted a jewelry brand that was diverse in style that encouraged people to step out of their comfort zone and be eclectic.

We are a jewelry brand that is always open to trying new trends while still incorporating the classics. Bending the rules and being eclectic is our thing. Along with offering quality jewelry, fostering a community and creating connections within our community is a continuous goal of ours.

Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?

Email marketing plays a major factor in communicating with our customers. We use emails as a way to share tips such as how to create an ear stack or ways to style a herringbone chain. Our goal is to always provide value to our customers in addition to keep them updated about restocks and promos. As a brand, we are always open to feedback. Review requests are sent to all customers to provide feedback about their overall experience with our brand and products.

Customer satisfaction is very important to us. As such, providing exceptional customer service is one of the ways we foster brand loyalty. In addition to, we have a rewards program where customers can earn points with every order placed. The points can then be later redeemed for rewards/discounts.

Have you ever had to pivot?

As a business owner, at times we struggle with finding balance between business and our personal life. I had to create that boundary. I found myself working on my business 7 days a week while simultaneously working a full-time job. My personal life suffered as a result. Now that I’ve created boundaries and a system that allows for me to be productive with my business and still have leisure time, I feel more balanced.
