We were lucky to catch up with Linda Khoshaba recently and have shared our conversation below.

Linda, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. It’s always helpful to hear about times when someone’s had to take a risk – how did they think through the decision, why did they take the risk, and what ended up happening. We’d love to hear about a risk you’ve taken.

Most of us are content with predictability and regular routine and feel comfortable with that. Taking a risk can be scary because it involves the opposite. The truth is we are always in a state of change and nothing can remain the same forever. Sometimes it is good to take a leap of faith and trust your internal instincts as you never know what path it can take you. Ever heard the saying, “No risk no reward?”. One day you look back at your decision and know it was the best and yet the scariest one you ever took but it was 100% worth it. I can relate to this by starting my own business and it is the best thing I did.

Absolutely, thank you for asking. I’m Dr. Linda Khoshaba, a naturopathic endocrinologist who has been working in the field for almost a decade. I am the founder of Natural Endocrinology Specialists (NES), and I am a Board Certified physician specializing in naturopathic endocrinology. To achieve this certification, I had to pursue additional training and examination beyond the naturopathic medical degree.

Endocrinology is a branch of medicine that deals with hormone functions in the human body. This subject fascinated me and led me to focus on conditions like Hashimoto’s and Graves thyroid disease, adrenal dysfunction, and female and male hormone imbalances during my practice. I found a deep interest in how these hormonal imbalances impacted various aspects of patients’ physical and mental health, and thus, I decided to specialize in this.

I founded Natural Endocrinology Specialists in 2020 with a vision to provide an integrative and truly patient-focused healthcare model. At NES, we care deeply about our patients, spending quality time with them to identify and address the root cause of their disease. I believe that healthcare should be a partnership, and I work hand-in-hand with my patients to help them reclaim their health and well-being.

As a naturopathic physician, I use the foundational principles of naturopathic medicine, which emphasize treating the body as a whole integrated system, not a set of individual parts. I strive to uncover and treat the root causes of disease and take into account the physical, mental, emotional, genetic, and environmental aspects of health. This integrative approach pairs scientific knowledge with natural methods to promote the body’s self-healing process.

I am a big advocate of treating my patients not just as cases, but as people dealing with real health and emotional challenges. My goal has always been to ensure that everyone who walks into NES feels welcome and leaves with hope and clarity about their health journey.

Alongside this, having a strong commitment to patient satisfaction is absolutely crucial.
