We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Brie Ritter and Sydney Roten Diva Bleach a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Brie Ritter and Sydney Roten thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. When did you first know you wanted to pursue a creative/artistic path professionally?
Syd – I first knew when I was watching Hannah Montana as a kid, and I wanted to be like Miley
Brie – I borrowed my neighbors Josie & the Pussycats DVD so many times they just let me keep it. Seeing a group of girls try to make a band work at an early age, even if it was fictitious, really stuck with me

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
We’re a pop rock band called Diva Bleach, we met when we were teenagers taking music lessons together and decided to start a band in our twenties.
We’re proud of the songs we write together, it’s fulfilling when other people tell us they can relate to them.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
It’s cool to get to listen to the finished product after having worked on them for so long, and getting to put them out for other people to listen. It’s also great when other people relate to the songs!

Is there mission driving your creative journey?
Traveling, we wanna be able to play shows everywhere we can. Being able to make this a full time job is what we want to do.
