We recently connected with Austin Hare and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Austin, thanks for joining us today. Earning a full time living from one’s creative career can be incredibly difficult. Have you been able to do so and if so, can you share some of the key parts of your journey and any important advice or lessons that might help creatives who haven’t been able to yet?
I have been blessed to be able to say I have earned a living doing what I love. Ever since I turned 18 and moved from Cleveland, OH to Los Angeles, CA I haven’t ever had a “basic” job outside of the creative industry, and no it wasn’t always easy, shit its still not easy, but doing what you love and putting all of your passion into an idea, theres no way the universal will not start to give you mini hints that you are going in the right direction, and the more I look back onto my life and I see all of the small $50, $150, $300 small projects I did, just to get by as a small town kid living in the big city, those are the projects that mean the most to me.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I love helping other content creators and brands find their voice on social media, now more than ever, people see the power in influencer marketing, let alone social media marketing at this point. And what makes me so valuable is that I have seen the evolution change on socials ever since day 1, early adoption on FB, IG, Musically ( Now TikTok ), Live streaming Apps, all before social media became as big as it is, and I have been lucky enough to be roped into the biggest names in hollywood in the social media world, living with Jake Paul and being apart of team 10 opened my whole world and showed me how to treat social media as a full time career, and i’ve taken what I learned over the years creating non stop content for myself and othe people/brands. That now I have a really well oiled machine on how to post viral content.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
The goal always in my creative journey is to underpromise and over deliver, helping others complete a project or help them with there journey always makes me feel good, because it makes me feel like what i’m doing has worth, and people respect and trust me enough to take control of their vision and bring it to life.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
I have mixed feelings on NFTS in general, although web3 as a whole 100% changed the way I think of marketing. It has expanded my mind of the possibilities we will all have in the future, NFTS and CRYPTO/WEB3 will not go anywhere anytime soon, people just need to learn and evolve with it… Cavemen didn’t want to write on the wall of a cave with a stone forever.
