Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Henrique Franhani. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Henrique, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What do you think matters most in terms of achieving success?
To me, what it takes to be successful is prayer and hard work. All of my projects are covered in prayer from the time the first idea is conceived, all the way to the final editing and distribution of the project. As a Christian, I rely on the Lord for anything that I do and I want my projects to bring glory to him, that is why to me prayer is important, because I believe that the more we invite Jesus to be part of our work, the more our projects will be successful since to me success is when his name is glorified through what we do. Hard work is also very important because without it we can’t make anything with the excellence and quality that the Lord wants from our work. Hard work is when you are able to control thee situations in front of you, prayer is for the impossible things that you need but can only get a hold of it through His strength and power.
Henrique, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started working professionally as a filmmaker, actor, and photographer as soon as I graduated from high school in 2018. For the first two years of my career, I was just basically trying to do and participate on as many projects as I could. I did a lot of work for free in the beginning for me to grow my networking and to showcase my talents since many people didn’t know who I was. In 2021 and 2022 I completed two internships and graduated from college, which really helped me to become the filmmaker that I am today. However, my greatest accomplishments are my film projects, such as “Emotional Pianist” (2021) and “Right My Wrongs” (2022), which have been selected and recognized in many film festivals.
As a filmmaker, I specialize in creating high-value content that has wholesome and redemptive themes throughout my films and video projects. I am known for being reliable, creative, and a trusted person to work with. I am most proud of my films because they reflect who I am and what messages I want to communicate to the world. What sets me apart from others is my commitment to my craft and excellence.
How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
What helped build my reputation within my market were my morals and values. Those two things is what keeps my reputation of being an honest and loyal person to work with alive. To me I want my reputation to be of someone who was not the most talented and famous, but of someone who treated people well with respect and dignity during our collective pursue of our films and projects.
We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.
Any job related to creativity is a hard path to follow because your success is dependent on how much resilience you have in order to achieve your goals. An example of a time that illustrated my resilience was when I was directing “Right My Wrongs”. We needed a courtroom for a scene in the music video that involved over 20 people in the cast. The artist and I wanted something legit, so we had to cut down our shooting time to 4 hours to work at that courtroom under our specific budget. There were a lot of shots that needed to be shot in those 4 hours, but because we had pre-planned everything before the shooting day, and had an incredible and efficient cast and crew, we were able to pull off the best scene in that entire music video.
