We recently connected with Annie Leib, MBA and have shared our conversation below.
Annie , looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
When I’m gone, I want people to say Annie understood me. She saw me. She guided me toward light and away from darkness. I want to be remembered for being an empathic, warm, insightful soul that helped coach people into becoming their most authentic selves.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Annie Leib, LLC began on LinkedIn around 2019 but began to grow right after Covid began in 2020. After leaving the corporate world in the pharmaceutical industry, I pursued my Executive MBA. Through my courses, I realized that coaching was my calling. And there was a ton of professional development out there in the world but were people being seen as PEOPLE, or just their titles. So I created my own coaching modality called the BREATH Framework– which merges personal and professional development. It is an acronym that stands for Begin where you are, Reclaim your power, Excavate your core values, Allow, Through, and Heal. And it guides and coaches senior executives and their teams to find and behave as their most authentic selves, therefore leading better and smarter, making more impact, as well as adding to the bottom line of their company. My brand has the core values of love, freedom, perseverance, trust and truth– which are my personal core values as well. I rely heavily on my authenticity and intuition to coach others and since 2020 I have coached hundreds of senior executives and their teams to be more authentic and live more fulfilling, successful lives.

Can you tell us about a time you’ve had to pivot?
The best pivot story of my life actually has to do with my path and how I got to where I am today. When I originally left Corporate America and the pharmaceutical industry to go back to school and earn my Executive MBA in 2018, my goal was to come out of the program with a management consultant position. But Covid hit in early 2020 and as we all know, the world was turned on its head. My plans were not going to pan out as I had expected. That said, it ended up being a blessing. I quickly regrouped and realized my entire purpose was not to work for anyone else, but to run my own business, and coach executives and their teams to be more authentic, true to who they really are, and make more impact as leaders.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
Building my audience on social media is what got me and kept me in business. In 2018, while earning my EMBA, I jumped on LinkedIn. I had a couple thousand connections and didn’t know how to use the platform at all. I began to step out of my comfort zone and post daily on LI. I posted all about my MBA program and starting my own coaching business. I showed people a window into my life, professionally and personally. I told stories about my family, including my kids, and struggles with starting a new business while being a single mom. I met people on LinkedIn for virtual coffees and coached many people for free. Finally, in 2021 I hired my own business coach and started to realize my own worth and value. My social media audience continued to grow to nearly 35,000 followers, all of whom I earned organically through posting daily, responding to each comment, engaging with others’ posts, and being open, truthful, and vulnerable online. To this day, most of my business development is from my LI audience.
