Alright, Ashley thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?

I grew up in South Florida with my parents and my younger brother. Looking back, the greatest gift my parents gave me were my skill sets that I learned from them which were: hard work, consistency, strategic thinking, and positive mindset.

My Dad would get up every morning at 4:00am to work long hours, 6 days a week for 40 years.

My Mom was given a chance as a paralegal by her boss who knew she didn’t have a degree, but loved that she was eager to learn new things.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.

We are a full-time traveling RV Family originally from Ohio. We grew our social media to over 84K followers on Instagram 100% organically over the last 2 years as we teach our audience all about RV life and the best destinations while partnering with many RV related companies.

How did we get into this lifestyle? It was really birthed out of a desire to be together as a family always longing for our next vacation. My husband Rob, was a Youth Pastor for over 10 years, and although that was rewarding at times, it was also very exhausting and an unappreciated, under paid career. I reached my breaking point as a stay-at-home-mom when we needed to sign up for food stamps and WIC in order to feed our family. I found a Direct Sales Company and built an incredible team to the top of the career plan in 5 years after much hard work and determination. The income and skills I learned from that business allowed me to pivot into a new career in the social media world today.

My skills really boil down to being a connector of people, creative eye for marketing and sales, and using my creativity and humor to connect our audience to the right brands, as well as brands to the right influencers.

I have learned to wear many different hats from social media management, consulting for brands, making creative content for brands, recruiting influencers for a major brand, and now we recently launched our new Digital Marketing Agency to help business thrive by being trusted, and being found, along with a toolbox that the entire marketing team can utilize.

Have you ever had to pivot?

In 2021 when we decided to get on the road full time and sell our house and 95% of our belongings to life a life to adventure, my direct sales business was thriving! It was one year later we watched the incredible residual income I worked so hard decrease to about 30% of what it was in a matter of a year. It was sincerely devastating,

I made the decision to pivot my career. I was determined for my family.

One year later, we grew to over 50K on Instagram, and I decided to start taking courses that would teach me how to position myself to brands when asking to partner with them. What I didn’t know was that Direct Sales gave me the skill set to have thick skin and hear the word “no.” I just kept pitching and didn’t let that stop me. Since then I have met many content creators who get their feelings hurt by that and I realized it was a gift that I didn’t feel this way.

We’d love to hear a story of resilience from your journey.

In 2022, we were in an RV accident and that rocked our world! It had over 56K in damage and our RV was in the auto-body shop for 10 months. Through that trial, we learned resilience. We had to buy another RV, and quickly make more income.

Since that, I was able to land an amazing position at a large RV company MORryde as their Social Media Content Strategist and help them build a community of influencers, as well as land contracts with some of the best brands in the industry including B&W Hitches, Thor Industries, RV Lock, RV Snap Pads, and RecPro.

When life gives you lemons, I’ve learned to turn them into lemonade. Everything happens for a reason.

Now, we are loving our new RV, and we are renting the other one out in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina so that others can try camping!
