We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kelly Love. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kelly below.
Hi Kelly, thanks for joining us today. Parents play a huge role in our development as youngsters and sometimes that impact follows us into adulthood and into our lives and careers. Looking back, what’s something you think you parents did right?
That’s a great first question! Let’s dive right in! I would honestly say both my parents have a huge influence in how I run my company. My mother Norma, who is unfortunately no longer with us, was always incredible with the customers. She always handled business with a personal flare and customers adored that about her. People often say I carry my mother’s spirit and embracing that side of me has only helped me with my clients. My father Michael is someone I often go to if I need advice. He knows how to run a successful business and if I ever need a second opinion, he is my go to man. He is also a strong reminder that it is nice to be nice, but also remember to be smart. And making tough calls may feel uncomfortable at the time, but it’s for the benefit of the future of my company. In conclusion, my mother is the heart of my business and my dad is the brains.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Well if you don’t know me, my name is Kelly Love and I am a Scottish children’s entertainer born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland. I have been fortunate to work and asked to manage children entertainment companies for over ten years. I truly love this industry as it’s all about spreading joy and being the life of the party. Even when you’re having a bad day, you get to go to work and have tons of fun. What could possibly be better?
We provide balloon twisters, face painters, bubble entertainment, glitter tattoos and games. We provide these services for events, business and private parties – big and small.
The main problem we solve for our clients is taking away the stress that hiring a vendor may cause. Also the stress of keeping children entertained and adding a personal touch of being compassionate to any situation that may occur. I believe that is what sets us apart is not only do we know how to provide an amazing service. But we also genuinely care and it shows.
I am honestly very proud of the feedback our clients have given us. Not only in referrals, but also publicly in reviews. We have over 100 five star reviews and we are not even two years established. I have my team to thank, and my friends and family are always pushing me to do my best so I can give my clients the best.

How did you build your audience on social media?
Lucky for me, I have been fortunate to have met a lot of social media influencers while living in Los Angeles. And for a hot second, I became an influencer, myself. I found being an influencer very stressful and in the end, not my cup of tea. But I took the lessons I learnt from my own personal experience and adapted to my company’s Instagram page. Some are making sure you post a couple of times a week, having variety in your posts, taking notice of what reels are getting the most views, and keeping up with what audios are tending and staying within your brand.

Can you talk to us about how your side-hustle turned into something more.
Well back in the day, I was a princess for birthday parties and is where I first learnt how to balloon twist. It was a little side job while I was an actress. I then started to work in the escape room industry. I found combining what I learnt from both jobs as far as customer service and professionalism goes only helped me in growing my company. Once the world started opening up again after the pandemic, I was being hired by companies to provide balloon animals for their parties. I suddenly had the idea of maybe I could run a company myself, which was only meant to be just myself. Then after getting overbooked, I brought on team members who had the same work-ethic and desire as myself to provide good memories for my clients. And with the good graces of my family, friends and team members, we get stronger and stronger each month, which I am super proud of. Don’t get me wrong. I have made many mistakes, but from each downfall came lessons from which I grew. But as I have learnt from Shark Tank, hire to cover your weakness, and even though costly, it has saved me from making huge mistakes I wouldn’t be able to recover from. That’s the
best advice I could give to anyone who is starting their own business is recognizing your weakness, put the ego to the side and hire someone to make your personal weakness killer strengths.
