Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rebecca Whitman. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Rebecca, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
When I was in my twenties I joined my first direct sales company. The culture was to prioritize work before health and relationships. I stopped exercising and I distanced myself from my friends and family.
Although, I achieved moderated success with this opportunity, my health took a toll. I became so depressed that I could barely get out of bed. I gained weight and didn’t feel comfortable in my body.
I even stopped going to 12 step meetings and began drinking after five years of sobriety. And my love life was a mess, too. I didn’t have the time or self esteem to have a loving, committed partner. Instead, I settled for casual sex, which was not what I ultimately wanted.
When I moved to California to pursue acting, I stumbled upon working at a children’s acting school. I loved it because the kids were available after school and on weekends, so I had my days to myself.
I worked out every morning and attended a 12 Step meeting at 12 pm. I had a community of great friends and I had time to date again. Although, life had its ups and downs, I was still highly functioning.
This is when I realized that there are seven key areas of life, which I called the 7 Pillars of Abundance. When you have your life aligned in these areas, you can go from Burned Out to Balanced, Beautiful and Abundant.
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
While working in the children’s acting schools, I spent time during the days to study with great thought leaders like Michael Beckwith, Esther Hicks, Wayne Dyer and Louise Hay. I became obsessed with the Law of Attraction.
I successfully applied to my job and was delighted to make six figures working part time. I also lost weight and experienced radiant health. The one area of life I found the most challenging was my love life.
I was in the habit of choosing narcissistic, emotionally unavailable men. I decided to marry someone that I knew in my heart of hearts was not right for me. Three years later, due to emotional abuse, I filed for divorce.
As my marriage was unraveling, my father was dying in a nursing home back home in Cincinnati, Ohio. In one of my last conversations with my Dad, he asked me to write something. I had no idea what I was going to write about, so I asked the Universe to show me.
A few months later, I was sitting in my financial planner’s office and he informed me that I had my best fiscal year ever. Ironically, it was during the same year, that I lost my dad and my marriage. He suggested that I write a book inspiring women to be resilient.
I took his advice and I wrote a book called “How To Make a 6 Figure Income Working Part Time.” In the book, I divide life into seven key areas: spirituality, fitness, emotions, romance, mental, social and financial. When all seven pillars are in alignment, you can be, do or have anything you want.
Now, I coach women to go from Burned Out to Balanced, Beautiful and Abundant. I have a course called Elegant Warrior Training that helps women get each of these Pillars of Abundance to a Level 10.
I also teach a course that helps women turn their passion to profit, called Create A Six Figure Side Hustle.
And because I am now married to the love of my life, I teach a course helping women to do the same called Manifest Your Soul Mate in 7 Simple Steps.
I host a top 1.5% globally ranked podcast called “The Balanced, Beautiful, Abundant Show.” I also lead a complimentary Women’s Circle to create community, accountability and support.
Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?
I built my presence on social media through consistency. I also believe in organizing my content into pillars based on the day of the week. For me, it made sense to use my 7 Pillars of Abundance and share about a different pillar each day.’
I used You Tube tutorials to learn about the newest trends like reels and Tik Toks.
I am all about repurposing content. For example, I create one video and post it to multiple platforms. I also use my memories on Face Book for photos and post ideas.
We’d love to hear about how you met your business partner.
I am a huge believer of multiple income streams. In addition, to my coaching and real estate investments, I work with a health and wellness brand.
I met my business partner Sarah Zolecki in the 90s in another direct sales company. I stayed in touch with her on Face Book, and watched her build a multi million dollar business.
During the pandemic, I was put on furlough from the children’s acting school, and I had no idea how to reinvent myself. I remembered how well she and her husband were doing in online marketing and I asked them to mentor me.
It’s now been three years of working with them. Not only have they helped me build an international online business in the trillion dollar health and wellness industry, I have up leveled my health and found an incredible community of motivated, generous leaders.
