We recently connected with Matt Mucerino and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Matt thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. What’s been the most meaningful project you’ve worked on?
I am getting ready to release the debut album for the band and could not be more stoked. This project was formed after my cousin passed away due to cancer at 21 years old, so it’s been amazing to see how people have attached to the music so far.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
For those that don’t know, I started Crossing i’s Dotting t’s as a way to get my emotions out after my cousin passed away due to cancer at 21. We play alt rock music reminiscent of the 90s/2000s scene with a new feel.
Since inception in late 2021, I have been able to secure endorsements from famous music companies Orange Amplifiers and Ernie Ball and have also gotten signed to Cleopatra Records recently. We are also excited to have Best Life Records distributed our vinyl in the UK.
Is there a particular goal or mission driving your creative journey?
I just want to reach as many ears as possible and potentially help anyone. Whenever I hear how much someone loves our music or how it helps them, it feel better than anything I’ve ever felt.
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The whole journey is rewarding when it’s what you love, but once a song actually comes out is when I feel the most rewarded and “validated” I guess.
