We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Theo Ivory. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Theo below.
Theo, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Let’s jump to the end – what do you want to be remembered for?
I want my legacy to be that you can be anything you want to be. You are not limited to any one thing. Do not let society or others make you feel like you have you to put yourself in a box. I am a professional wrestler, author, actor, financial professional, and I still have so many more things I want to achieve.

Theo, before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
Growing up, I always wanted to be many things. I wanted to be a scientist, an obstetrician, an EMT, a radio host, a pro wrestler, an actor, and probably ten other things. As I got older, I started to figure out how I could accomplish all these things. While in college, I got an opportunity to be an extra in Steven Spielberg film (“Lincoln”). The early long days really caused me to develop a huge level of respect for actors. After I graduated with my Accounting degree, I really wanted to pursue my true dream of becoming a professional wrestler. After I got my MBA, I moved to Philadelphia to be close to wrestling schools. In 2016, I wrote my very first book “Ameenah The Queen” as a bit of a tribute to my little sister so that no matter what she would love and appreciate her natural hair. In 2017, I had an opportunity to host my own radio show on DTF Radio and I enjoyed every bit of it. I put this on the backburner because the schedule just wasnt feasible for me anymore. In July 2019, I checked out CZW (Combat Zone Wrestling) and the rest is history. I was finally able to dive head first into my first love of pro wrestling. I am proud to say that I am now in my 4th year of wrestling and I haven’t looked back. In October 2021, I self-published my second book: “Something’s Gotta Give: Daily Affirmations and Declarations for Healing & Happiness”. I had suffered writer’s block for many years and couldn’t figure out what to do for my next book. I wanted to write a book about my failed marriage, but that didn’t work. Then I realized I could write an Affirmations journal to help others heal. I have my own mental health struggles and daily affirmations have truly helped me power through on a daily basis. I figured the best work that I could put out into the universe would something that is real and honest. I am so proud of these two books, which I have self-published through Amazon. I am proud of my wrestling career thus far. Most of all, I am so proud of myself for powering through life everyday. I lost my mother at 9 and it affects me every single day, but what makes me happy is knowing that every single day I am making her proud and showing everyone around that any and everything is possible as long as you put in the work and you truly want it!

Any resources you can share with us that might be helpful to other creatives?
People! There are so many other people who have been through the same journey as myself and I wish I had a way to connect with them sooner.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?
Yes, my main goal is to inspire everyone around me so they know that their dreams can become a reality as well.
