We recently connected with Chantal Massuh and have shared our conversation below.
Chantal , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Before we get into specifics, let’s talk about success more generally. What do you think it takes to be successful?
I belive it takes having a lot of tenacity and drive to be successful. You won’t get far in this life if you quit early on in your endeavors. It will take an incredible amount of discipline and courage to keep going to castings or auditions. It takes a lot of bravery to make your own art or invest in yourself. Most people don’t want to go the extra mile. I finally shot my first feature because I pushed myself to get into content creation to earn extra revenue

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
I moved to Los Angeles after attending film school. I hit the ground running by cold calling and answering ads. It was incredibly hard to maintain optimism but I believed in myself. The main thing I would like everyone to understand is that success is not overnight. It takes consistency.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
I had to learn how to make money off content creation and being an influencer. Being successful takes years of figuring out who you are and what you want to say as a brand or artist. I am very multifaceted and figured out I could make money off of my various different skills.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
Keep getting better at your craft people will notice and reach out. Word of mouth is a big deal in the entertainment industry.
