We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Savina Welch. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Savina below.
Savina, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. What were some of the most unexpected problems you’ve faced in your career and how did you resolve those issues?
I have been a photographer for 3 years full time and last year there was an Incident where I had essentially lost my business due to a hacking Incident. I couldn’t get Into my Instagram I couldn’t verify using my Identity and at the time my website was under construction, So I really felt like there was nothing I could do. I luckily had a great community which helped me through. I created a new account, I had a new name. The hardest part was coming to terms I wasn’t going to be able to use my name anymore for my business. It was hard to get bookings, I wasn’t booking anything for a few months because of this. Therefore I thought I was done and I should give up but I loved what I did and I remembered all the memories I’ve captured and re found my why and that lit a little fire In me. After all that I am booking out my year and still serving so many couples!
Savina, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I’m Savina, a photographer based out of California who serves all over the US. I’ve been to many places capturing memories that will last a lifetime.I started photography because I couldn’t find a job that allowed me the flexibility to do photo as long as I wanted. So I just stopped finding a job and booked more photo shoots. I did a photography road trip 2 years ago and that really sparked my traveler side. I started In CA an hour from San Francisco, Drove to OR, Drove down to Joshua Tree, Drove over to AZ and then finished with my drive to UT and headed home. That’s when I knew I wanted to travel and do photography all over!
I am a very ambitious and riven which helps me deliver an experience to my clients that they know they picked the right girl to capture heir wedding. I have a candid style so that your images reflect who you are!
being a photographer Is way more than snapping a picture. We problem solve when things go wrong, Come up with backup plans for every situation, help make sure the details are on point, Especially when that wind kicks In. I got you!
I’ll always be your hype woman and make sure your comfortable!
What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?
The most rewarding part Is capturing the once In your life moments. I love being apart of the starts of relationships!
There’s couples I have that I did engagements for, their weddings, and pregnancy announcement , maternity and families every year!
It’s the best feeling when people come back to you because they love your work and have built a relationship and trust you with those precious memories.
Any thoughts, advice, or strategies you can share for fostering brand loyalty?
I keep In touch through text and email. Email Is always the best way because everything will be In one place, I make sure my clients know they can come to me for anything and everything! My clients get my number when they Inquire because as a business owner sometimes emails go to junk or spam so you always get a message knowing we got your Inquiry and we have responded.
Brand loyalty comes from being personal with your clients In my opinion and showing up and providing what you promise and even over deliver!
After all your client experience Is the most Important part.
