We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Samantha Danielle a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Samantha, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Let’s kick things off with your mission – what is it and what’s the story behind why it’s your mission?
As a child, I witnessed domestic violence in the home. My Mom had a dear friend assist her with moving to North Carolina and it wasn’t until I went to college that I saw examples of long-term, long-lasting love. This is where I fell in love with love.
LOVELUVV’s extravagant philanthropic efforts will be rooted in the company’s purpose to impact the lives of those persons who’ve suffered domestic violence by assisting them with recovering from that unfortunate experience. The meditation of our hearts regarding this effort can be found in 2 Corinthians 8: 1-9.
‘But since you excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness and in the love we have kindled in you, see that you also excel in this grace of giving.’ 2 Cor 8:7
Our message to them is clear – you are NOT your circumstance and we are here to show you that love should be and is as described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
I retired as an accomplished and successful wedding planner but remain passionate about the real work of love and the celebration that can be such a wonderful ritual of it.
While on an intensive and enjoyable tour of the Champagne region of France, I realized that there was no sparkling wine/champagne created specifically for weddings and the whole wedding experience. I decided then to go about learning the industry and champagne process from the inside out, achieving certification as a Master of Champagne. After that, I set out to create a company dedicated to celebrating the journey, ritual, hard work, and joys of couples’ love legacies.
I still know the process of planning events from beginning to end, including all its stresses and joys. There are sooo any decisions involved and I want to help couples choose a great affordable champagne for their day. I know that the sparkling wine served for wedding celebrations has to have a certain flavor profile to appeal to a wide range of palates. It should also be available in sets designed for such events and have other intuitive perks like personalization.
Do you sell on your site, or do you use a platform like Amazon, Etsy, Cratejoy, etc?
The 3-tier system for alcohol in the United States is a BEAST! Beverage alcohol suppliers that wish to sell their products across state lines must first understand and comply with the regulatory requirements of the three-tier system. This includes a long list of complicated requirements to meet before an alcoholic beverage product can be distributed and sold in any state, plus required follow-up reports that can make compliance time-consuming and expensive. Because I am my own importer and distributor, I was lucky to find and partner with VinoShipper. Through them, I am able to ship LOVELUVV to 35 states in the USA. They also stay up to date with the ever-changing direct shipping regulations in each state. This saves me time but most importantly prevents the chance that I will lose my federal and state licenses.
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
Two books written by Catherine Ponder have significantly impacted my entrepreneurial mindset: The Dynamic Laws of Prayer and The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity.
There is a section in Prayers that focuses on forgiveness. Holding onto wrongdoing and reliving angry feelings perpetuates negative thoughts and emotions, which ultimately contributes to poor mental health and harms your overall well-being. As a business owner of a future multi-million dollar company, it is important that I am always at my highest and best good.
Prosperity focuses on and provides great examples of manifestations that can be used to assist with your daily mindset. It’s inevitable, challenges are going to happen. But what we believe will be, will most likely be. That will get you through those hard times.
In both books, she also provides specific tools that can utilized to implement the concepts.
