We recently connected with Jesse J Guillen and have shared our conversation below.

Jesse J , appreciate you joining us today. Risk taking is something we’re really interested in and we’d love to hear the story of a risk you’ve taken.

A dream of mine was to become a designer and celebrity wardrobe Stylist. It was time for something different and something new that it was me taking a big risk so I spontaneously moved to Hollywood not even knowing if I had the money to live there. That risk has been very life-changing because it motivated and pushed me to follow my goals to work as a celebrity Stylist, and Designer in the entertainment industry as well as collaborating with other designers and Stylist. Taking the risk was really amazing cause it changed my life for the better and really opened up so much opportunities and successes. I have had a business for 10 years now and work in movies, TV film commercials campaigns. It is really inspiring to be able to see where I started or where I’m at now and to inspire others to make sure they follow their dreams and goals and take risks. life is about taking risks and staying optimistic. You know spreading that love and being kind and peaceful and standing your ground as well because this is a tough industry but it’s important to be kind and optimistic . Spreading love and a being kind person will get you far .
As mentioned previously, I’ve been in the business for 10 years land now I own a rental show room and multiple other businesses that I invested is very inspiring so I encourage you guys to do the same.

Jesse J , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?

It started with a dream and goal :) . I was able to get into the industry by assisting other wardrobe stylists and Designers that I looked up to and motivated me to pursue my career goals. That got my foot in the door. It’s important to pass the knowledge on to the up and coming. I started to teach at a fashion school and I take my students on sets and jobs etc. to get experience. Remember spread love and be kind .

My first business I invested in /bought was starting a rental costume and fashion haus. It was a very smart business to invest in and is doing very well to date and has also grown to multiple floors . My 2nd business was buying my first home

Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?

I learned and unlearned a lot of things through trial and error. I had to take risks in investments for my businesses not knowing the outcomes of how it would turn out.
