Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Noelle Roth. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Noelle, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?
I was very lucky to have parents who put me in dance class at just 2 years old. They saw my interest in dance, and gave me the opportunity to learn the craft. When I got a little older, I started studying singing and acting as well as dance. Looking back, I don’t know if there was anything I could have done to “speed up my learning”, and to be completely honest, I don’t think that should be the goal! Everyone learns things at their own pace, and I think that is something we should embrace. I am still learning things about my craft every single day and that is something that makes me so happy. I never want to stop learning. In fact, I think the most essential skill you can have is to constantly be open to learning new things. I continue to learn by taking class, I learn from my peers, I learn from more experienced actors that I have the opportunity to work with, and I just try to always be open to observing, listening, and soaking in new information!

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
I am an actor, dancer, and singer currently pursuing a career in theatre and film. I started dancing at just 2 1/2 years old and absolutely fell in love with it. When I was a little older, I also started studying singing and acting, and I knew I wanted to perform for the rest of my life. My mom was a professional opera singer, and my dad was a professional jazz musician, so I grew up in a very musical household. I went on to get my BA in Theatre Arts with a Musical Theatre concentration. A few of my favorite shows have been 42nd Street (ensemble/Peggy Sawyer understudy), Cinderella (ensemble), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Suzy), Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (Alice), and Shaking Up Shakespeare (Ophelia). I continue to audition and take class and pursue theatre and film every day. I also create dances and content on Tiktok and Instagram so I can share the joy of dancing with the world! As always, I am excited about upcoming opportunities and seeing what the future holds!

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
I think the most rewarding part of being an artist is having the opportunity to connect with people. I love connecting with the audience, drawing them into a story, and creating art that allows them to feel something. I also love connecting with the people backstage! Fellow cast members, crew, and creatives all have such important roles to play in every project, and I’m grateful for the opportunities to work with new people and make new friends! Connecting with other humans is by far the most rewarding part of being an artist.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?
I built an audience on social media by doing what I love to do, filming it, and doing that consistently. I love to dance, so I started filming it and putting it on social media, to spread the joy of dance to the world. I truly believe that if you are posting what you love, your audience will find you! You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, that’s impossible, but there will be people who love your content and are so grateful that you are taking up space on social media. My biggest advice would be to be yourself, and to post consistently!!
