We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Daryl Bouchard. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Daryl below.
Daryl, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear the backstory behind a risk you’ve taken – whether big or small, walk us through what it was like and how it ultimately turned out.
The biggest risk I have ever taken was to leave the Canadian Armed Forces, after 9 years of service, to start my own Nutrition Practice. The military takes care of everything for you, your pension, your paycheck is steady, every two weeks you know exactly how much you are going to make, dental, medical, everything is covered. Unfortunately, I was no longer happy in this job. I knew deep down that my purpose was elsewhere and I just had to trust my gut. I went back to school for Holistic Nutrition while serving full time in the Canadian Armed Forces and then slowly transitioned out while starting my own practice. It believed in myself & it is the best decision I ever made.

Daryl, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
I work one on one with women all over the world to educate them on the power of nutrition. The primary focus with me is education. There are not quick fixes to health and this is exactly what I take the time to show each individual client that joins my team. I provide the knowledge, the tools, the encouragement and empowerment to give these women back their power. Together we ensure that what they learn can be applied to their life. REAL LIFE. The process is slow and steady but clients leave knowing exactly what to do to continue on their own health journey.
My goal is to positively impact as many humans as possible and to give them their power back.

Training and knowledge matter of course, but beyond that what do you think matters most in terms of succeeding in your field?
Hard work and consistency. If you have the skill and their is a demand for this skill, all that’s left is hard work and consistency.

Can you tell us about what’s worked well for you in terms of growing your clientele?
Honest testimonials. Real people, real stories. Results. & Lastly, ensuring that each interaction is done with kindness and care. When your clients/customers/all know and feel cared for, they will respect you and your time. Kindness always wins.
