Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Rehanna Washington. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Rehanna, thanks for joining us today. Can you talk to us about a risk you’ve taken – walk us through the story?

This is actually a very good question with all the talk around my page. I started my social media account when I was 11, called Girlyvibesspamm. I built up my page all the way up to almost 50k, I was doing pretty good but the only issue was my page’s main focus was promo on lipgloss. As I got older I didn’t find the same things interesting as I did when I was 11, and that included the lipgloss page. I lost motivation along the way and stopped being active on the page. Of course when you’re not active people unfollow. So I was very stuck and then I had an idea. Starting my page over and becoming a brand ambassador. This would mean deleting everything and re-doing my page. This was a huge risk, but almost 3 years later I have 0 regrets. I went from a little promo page to a runway model. Take that risk.

Rehanna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

My name is Rehanna Washington, I am a 16-year-old influencer, a runway model, and now on August 26th the CEO of my new clothing brand. @bigartinc. Everyone that follows my main page @444.reh, I want them to feel motivated. I want to introduce products to them that make them feel good, I have been told I was an inspiration to a lot of people, personally by them and that makes me feel good! My new clothing brand Big Art Inc., I want everyone to feel big. In such a huge world we can feel small. I make clothes that will make you stand out. Everything I make now is homemade and trendy. I make orders custom to each customer, and I will keep things affordable. I know how it feels like not to have everything, so why would I make overpriced clothes? I got in the modeling industry, Really by accident. I was more interested in acting, but I also needed a break into the industry. So took the first opportunity thrown at me and that was the Lavish Mindz Fashion Show in April. Ever since then, I have been on my grind,

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

Connect! Connect! Connect! Keep active and talk to your followers. I see so many people hit their first 10k and start acting rude to their followers. Don’t do that, treat them like family. Keep active and don’t ghost. Keep it professional also, the whole world doesn’t need to know about your personal drama. If I could do that at 11, you can too!

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?

To find all my opportunities, I use free websites. Facebook and Eventbrite. If you can’t afford pricey casting websites, don’t stress yourself. Use what’s around you. You just need one booking and you will meet so many people, The opportunities will start to come to you! I stayed up all summer until 6 a.m., 3 a.m., and even 11 a.m. looking for any opportunity I could get my hands on. I wouldn’t go to sleep until I found one. I never felt right ending the day or just laying down doing nothing when I could search for ways to better myself.
