We recently connected with Lori Engel and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, Lori thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Looking back on your career, have you ever worked with a great leader or boss? We’d love to hear about the experience and what you think made them such a great leader.
My mentor has been the pivotal defining voice behind a good majority of my most intimate “aha” life moments. Many of our sessions we sat in silence for some time as I was learning to sit in the question presented to me until I was present, without thought and aware of my soul’s truth.
This reflection and quiet has simplified some really chaotic moments as it gave me time to wipe away my story and see what is.
This is something important to me as I carry it in to my practice and ask questions For their own self reflection.
“How do you feel about that thought? How do you react when you have that thought?” These are a few examples.
Self inquiry is key. I wanted my mentor to give me the answers. I knew she had my answers and could just tell me everything I wanted and needed to know to make my life better. It was sage so much time and be so much easier.
The fact is. She didn’t have my answer. And she was aware enough to know that and wise enough to know what questions to ask as I sat with myself, only inquiring.
The valuable lesson I learned and hope others will as well, is how much wisdom we hold within. All the answers are filed away waiting to be remembered.
No one knows better about you or for you except you. It’s in the self inquiry.
My mentor brought my inner knowing to light with questions.

Awesome – so before we get into the rest of our questions, can you briefly introduce yourself to our readers.
Everyone has things in life that are not pleasing, not planned, absolute disappointment and heart ache. Whatever that story is.
I had my own list of woes while riding my life’s emotional roller coaster.
As My body began to break down from all the life bumps, I knew it was time to step outside of traditional medicine practices.
The explorations led me to becoming Reiki Master certified. This is a Japanese healing technique moves body energy and balances chakras.
That stepping stone led to becoming a foot zoner as I felt unexplainable physical and emotional relief, for myself, in each session as pressure points and drains brought my body systems in a balance to homeostasis.
I wanted to share the magic I felt. Plus it was so relaxing. Who wouldn’t love a fancy hour long foot rub?
It is common to add an ionic foot detox bath, bioacoustic therapy and frequency healing mats in to sessions. Color light therapy mixed in with happiness coaching creates a full embodied session leaving anyone feeling lighter and rejuvenated.
Breathwork was another modality I came to love and saw immediate results, relief and answers to my life’s heartaches and mysteries. Breathwork is pure magic and the benefits are so extensive there just isn’t space to go in to it. But trying a session with me, either private, intimate small groups, corporate or group settings is the best way to understand and embrace the full experience.
All of these are modalities I have facilitated individually and combined for a fulfilling complete experience.
Hosting women’s retreats that incorporate art healing therapy and all the fireworks of the other techniques and practices listed, creates a safe place to allow the soul to indulge and refill your cup to overflowing.
In any of these therapies there is an immediate noticeable difference in stress relief, depression, anxiety, lower blood pressure, not to mention a long list of relief from other physical ailments.
I feel the most important parts of the functioning body that I get to practice, is in the first gift of life, breath, and the last thing we give in mortality, which is breath. Our feet walk us through the in betweens.
I am passionate about what I do. I have donated my time and services to many including Dahlia’s Hope an organization assisting sex trafficked women in recovery to lead a normal healthy life.
I’ve come to learn that we mirror one another and though we all walk different paths, breathe at different rhythms we aren’t so different and have so much we can learn from one another.
As I’ve worked with couples, friends, parties and corporate, facilitating my own retreats and attending to work at others I find complete joy in assisting others find the modality and combinations of tools that assist others in finding their inner calm and peace to live a full complete life that always feels like enough. And a lot like joy.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
So many people aren’t familiar with my work wether it’s the combinations or individually, especially with foot zoning. So the most important thing there is to remember with that part is: IT FEELS AMAZING!
And I rely on that information to spread by word mouth to everyone you love! There is no way to really explain the full experience of any of these therapies. Each time is unique and must be an experienced but the benefits are shocking.

If you could go back in time, do you think you would have chosen a different profession or specialty?
I would go back and choose this profession from the beginning. I’d love to have more time, knowledge and wisdom under my belt. However, I’m right here and present in the moment and thoroughly enjoying every session, client, conversation, laughter, tears plus all the extras. This is truly rewarding. There are endless opportunities to learn and grow in this field. Watching others do the sand is a highlight.
