We were lucky to catch up with Krazey Jakey recently and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, Krazey thanks for taking the time to share your stories and insights with us today. Can you open up about a risk you’ve taken – what it was like taking that risk, why you took the risk and how it turned out?

In life if we don’t take risks on our careers we’ll never get those breakthroughs we want! It’s very overwhelming/scary to go all in on you and your dream, but if you don’t then you’ll live the rest of your life with regret! I don’t know about you but I got enough things I regret and believing in me won’t be one of them 😤💪

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I started doing music just for fun when I was a teenager but I wrote my first “verse” when I was in elementary school! It was a faith based verse but when I got older and started rapping it wasn’t faith based at all. I only make music that influences change now! I got my first rehab show on October 1st in Kentucky. I recently dropped an album on 6/21 and it’s gotten some attention in the community I’m passionate about helping! There’s no cussing in my music and it’s all about overcoming life trauma! We only need relatable music that helps people through hard times. Not music that brings hard times on us because we feel inadequate because we don’t have the things they say in mainstream music.

For you, what’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative?

The most rewarding thing to me is when I see people excited when I interact with them or how hype they get when we release a new song! I’ve got people now telling me they need my music/content because it gives them the hope to keep going! That’s worth more than anything to me 💯

How did you build your audience on social media?

Building your online support system’s the most important thing because a lot of times people in your real life don’t support you. They just say that online to look supportive in the eye of the public! Since I started thinking global>local my whole changed! There’s people everywhere in the world who you’ll relate with! I’m getting 1m views every 6 months now on TikTok and it’s only growing quicker! Just this last week I got 98k views and 798 new followers! YOU NEED TO BE ONLINE EVERYDAY CREATIVE FAM 🙏
