We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Ivy Caldwell a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Ivy, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.

I came up with the idea of helping women who are struggling with exposing their truth. As someone who has experienced childhood abuse and carrying the feelings of fear, shame and guilt for years I want others to know that freedom is available to them. I knew this was a worthwhile endeavor because I know that I am not the only one who has suffered in silence. It has worked for me and I know it will work for others. I am not the only one offering a solution to this problem but I bring a different perspective in how to start your emotional healing process. You must acknowledge it and not run from it. I am excited because I am proof that it is possible not to feel the pains of the past.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Ivy Caldwell, is an ordained elder, wife of 29 years, a mom of 4 sons, a grandmother of many, 26X Author, 10X Bestseller, TV & Podcast host, Certified Empowerment Coach, Certified Chaplin and children’s book publisher. She is located in upstate New York. Our children need help to expose the issues they are dealing with as well. Her latest publishing works is entitled “Footprint Children’s Book Series”. The series is a tool to be used to give our children a voice. Our children are dealing with so much today and they dare not talk about it. This series will deal with the real issues that our children are facing. I am looking for teachers, school counselors, social workers, parents and guardians to help advocate for our children and help give them a voice. Let’s not silence them by ignoring the issues that we see daily. Let’s help them to expose their truth too.

Any insights you can share with us about how you built up your social media presence?

There are many ways to grow your social media presence and I have found that the best way for me was organically. This way you truly get to know those you are interacting with and what is going on in their lives. Those who engage with you appreciate the personal touch and you are just not trying to get the numbers. Building an online presence takes time and consistency.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

It has always been a desire of mine to write children’s books. In July of 2022, I found a publisher to help me with this endeavor. In the beginning, things were going great, we had constant contact and all payments were made on my part. Towards the end of the project, I wanted changes to be done and the publisher went MIA. I couldn’t believe it but that didn’t stop me. I know I must get my children’s book series into the hands of our children. I found an illustrator and I self-published the books myself. You have to be careful when you are looking for someone to partner with to help you get your product and services to the world. The highlight of this experience is that I have full control of the books and I have learned how to publish books.
