We recently connected with Gianna Mancuso and have shared our conversation below.
Gianna, thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today We’d love to have you retell us the story behind how you came up with the idea for your business, I think our audience would really enjoy hearing the backstory.
The day of my 17th birthday I had a small party with my Mom and sisters who are also my bestfriends. Them knowing I had a love for herbalism and the craft, one of my sisters had an epiphany! “Why don’t you sell these services and products!” From then on I felt a fire in my belly.. an inspiration like I’d never felt before. Immediately I began my own research and created my website with all the services I love. Learning and growing along the way. No one prepares you for running a business at 17 being self taught, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world.
Gianna, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Gianna Mancuso. I am a professional Tarot reader, Reiki practitioner, and Energy worker. I provide services of empowerment and all things spiritual wellness! Our current remote services include Reiki by distance, Tarot readings, Rituals, and Guided manifesting meditations. I am so in love with what I do and the connection I build with my clients. I look forward to expanding and connecting even more with like minded individuals! I work on getting to the root of our blockages and through that finding peoples passion and creativity again.
Learning and unlearning are both critical parts of growth – can you share a story of a time when you had to unlearn a lesson?
Probably the number one thing I had to unlearn was realizing I didn’t have to follow the social media rules and schedule of other creators to become successful. This may be controversial, though it’s true for me. The more authentic I stayed to myself and the way I wanted to work or post, the more excitement and creativity I could bring to my clients. For me this was a passion first before a job and I intend for it to stay that way!
Have you ever had to pivot?
I recently went through my first pivot in business. I realized I no longer wanted to sell physical products but instead become service based. No one prepares you for the endless hours of creation, packaging, planning, and investment of selling products both online and in store. Although I thoroughly loved my products and what they brought to peoples lives, I soon realized I was losing my passion for it. I turned directions and it was definitely a shock for many. The important part was staying true to me. I knew it would shift my income but I made myself a promise that I would always remain joyful and authentic. I want to show up for those who support me fully.
