Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Lacey L. Bakker. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Lacey L. , thanks for joining us today. What did your parents do right and how has that impacted you in your life and career?
Ever since I was a little girl, I can remember my parents and grandparents telling me, “You can be anything you want.” I took that to heart, but for a long time, I never knew what I wanted to be when I grew up. When I got to college, they encouraged me to take business courses, so I went into Marketing and Advertising. My dad is an entrepreneur, so I’ve been around the whole being your own boss idea for a really long time, and my mom has always encouraged me in my business and in every other endeavour that I’ve embarked upon. Their work ethics and the values they’ve instilled in me over the years have definitely paid off in my own business.

Lacey L. , before we move on to more of these sorts of questions, can you take some time to bring our readers up to speed on you and what you do?
I started Pandamonium Publishing House in 2015, and we’ve been growing ever since. I like to think of us as a gang of misfits. We know the rules, but we prefer to bend them and make them our own! I publish authors who are inventive, out of the box, renegades who march to the beat of their own drums. We are publishing made simple. That means we take the hard parts out of publishing and marketing for our clients so they get a pleasant, uncomplicated experience in publishing and marketing their books.

What’s been the best source of new clients for you?
Definitely word of mouth! That’s the best source of new clients, and we strive to ensure that everyone we work with is happy with our services. When people are pleased with your work, see the quality of the products, receive excellent communication, and the expertise of a fantastic team, it’s easy to get new clients. Our reputation is of utmost importance to us!

Do you have multiple revenue streams – if so, can you talk to us about those streams and how your developed them?
The thing with publishing is that once you create one product, you can exploit it in many revenue streams. For example, you write a book, then turn it into a paperback, then into an e-book, then into an audiobook, then speaking engagements, courses, classes, and workshops, royalties, and the list goes on and on. And that’s only with one book! Do this multiple times, and it’s a winning combination for making money while you sleep.
