We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Toi alias (The Naked Unicorn) McMullen. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Toi alias (The Naked Unicorn) below.
Toi alias (The Naked Unicorn), thanks for taking the time to share your stories with us today Do you manage your own social media?
Even though it’s difficult, I run all of my social media accounts. I believe in authenticity and it’s more personal that way.
Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.
First and foremost, I am a writer. As long as I can remember, I’ve had a vivid imagination. A pencil and pad provided a therapeutic outlet and allowed me to express myself freely. I am able to discuss real life issues in fictional stories such as domestic violence, colorism, racism etc. After many years of polishing my writing, I decided to take my craft to the next level and turn a short story I had written into a novel, Miami Lust. While writing Miami Lust, I researched the publishing process and decided to become an Independent(Indie) author instead of submitting my transcript to a publishing company. After releasing it and seeing it do significantly well, I published my second novel, Lesbian Sex Chronicles. I had a publishing assistant to help me with my second novel so it made the progress less stressful. I recently removed Miami Lust from publication but plan on re-releasing it later this year.
On top of being an author, I am an erotic artistic muse and an adult performer. During the beginning of my journey in the adult industry, I was hired as a body paint model for a kink and BDSM(stands for Bondage and Discipline, Dominance and Submission, Sadochism and Masochism) art show. While at the art show I met Madam Carmen, Pro Fem Dom, Educator, & Director. After several meetings, she told me she was starting an ethical t adult production company, Kinknik Media. She asked if I was interested in being a creative writer for the company as well as talent. After agreeing, she mentored me and I became more knowledgeable with BDSM practices once I completed her her BDSM 101 class. Kinknik Media was formed in 2020 and promotes ethical adult content. For those that don’t know what ethical adult content is I’ll explain, Everything we create is with consent, No one feels pressured to do anything they aren’t comfortable doing.
Can you share your view on NFTs? (Note: this is for education/entertainment purposes only, readers should not construe this as advice)
Even after having NFTs explained to me several times, I still don’t understand the purpose, point of them.
Is there something you think non-creatives will struggle to understand about your journey as a creative? Maybe you can provide some insight – you never know who might benefit from the enlightenment.
A lot of people do not view adult entertainers as real people nor do they view adult entertainment as work. There is a lot that goes into creating content. Some of our scenes have scripts, or we jot down the premises of the scene. We don’t have a studio yet so we have to find locations to film. Even though most scenes of our scenes are sexual, not all of them involve sex. We’re more than a production company. We also host a variety of events. Last summer we hosted two adults only field day events. I’m really looking forward to having more of those.
