We were lucky to catch up with Dr.Jessica Mosley recently and have shared our conversation below.
Dr.Jessica, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. Looking back, do you think you started your business at the right time? Do you wish you had started sooner or later
I actually wish that I would’ve taken the leap of faith and became an entrepreneur sooner than later. There’s so many benefits to being an entrepreneur. I love that I get to impact and change lives!
I’ve always been entrepreneurial minded. From having a lemonade stand, to outselling everyone when it came to my girls about that I was a part of, to starting a publishing company/media branding company, to now owning medical training schools, and also starting a nonprofit for Battered women, children, and those re-entering society.
Starting sooner would’ve given me an opportunity to make an even greater impact to women who have been abused. And/or help those who come from underprivileged communities have an even greater chance to come out of poverty.

Dr.Jessica, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Dr.Jessica Mosley. I am an entrepreneur and philanthropist.
I have a couple of for profits. MizCEO is my media branding company. It’s where I help high achieving men and women scale and grow their businesses. We help brand and coach the client to massive results. We offer services such as branding and marketing, coaching, publishing, how to start a sustainable company, set up of nonprofit, etc.
My medical training school, Deborah’s Place is for the entry level medical professional. You can get certifications such as CNA, Medical Code and Billing, QMA, Home Health Aide—just to name a few.

How about pivoting – can you share the story of a time you’ve had to pivot?
Absolutely! During Covid. We went from being onsite to virtual. It was a learning experience. Technology is ever changing. And we must stay abreast if we want to compete in the highly competitive market that I serve.
Can you open up about a time when you had a really close call with the business?
There has been plenty when I first started. And that’s because one, I hadn’t truly counted the “cost to do business “. I then took more time to educate myself on how to do business. I hired a business coach, someone who has been the road I had yet to travel. It changed the trajectory of how I did business. Therefore causing me to grow and move my bottom line
