Chyna , thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. Do you wish you had started sooner?

I understand that everything happens for a reason and at the exact moment that it takes place. I’ve learned how to be patient and know that things don’t happen on my timing, rather the most highs. I know that I’m in the right place at the right time. All I need to do is continue to invest into my craft and keep putting in maximum effort so that I can continue to see growth and the outcome I want to achieve. I’ve always been invested in the beauty industry since a young girl, but I chose to take it a step further by enrolling into beauty school which I started October 2021. Then graduated August 2022 and received my License October 2022. I knew that if I wanted to further my knowledge and career in this field, I’d have to take the necessary steps to do so. This industry has opened up new path ways, sparked interests, and motivated me to keep going as I open new doors everyday.

As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?

I’m a Licensed Cosmetologist, Content Creator, Influencer, Humanitarian, Spiritualist, a jack of all trades if you will. My passion for the beauty industry is what keeps my drive up! I love being a light and being able to uplift people! It’s so amazing how a new hairstyle, cut, color, etc. can reinvent someone and spark a light in their life’s. That connection between you and your client also plays a huge role during the process. It’s more than just a in and out service, but that connection and bond you can build between you and your client. Sometimes develops relationships further than just the chair. It’s a way to bring people closer together. I’m excited to be able to use my gift and my welcoming spirit to be able to provide an experience for clients and potential clients that find me.

What’s the most rewarding aspect of being a creative in your experience?

The most rewarding aspect of being a creative is the ability to change someone’s energy in a positive light and put a smile on their face. I love being able to use my gifts to impact others and rest assured a new hairstyle can do just that. That confidence boost and new found energy is something I look forward to after every service I provide.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

My goal is to touch as many people life’s as I can. I know my purpose is to be of service, to teach, and to heal. Being in the beauty industry opens up so many avenues for me to be able to fulfill my purpose. I just want to be right where I’m called to be. As long as I’m fulfilling my purpose and completing my mission here on earth every single day, I’m fulfilled.
