Shaylee, looking forward to hearing all of your stories today. We’d love to hear about a time you helped a customer really get an amazing result through their work with you.

One of my very first clients was a small-town Medical Spa. When they hired me, they had only been open for about 3 years and were having such a hard time bringing awareness to what they had to offer their community and surrounding areas. This Med Spa had it all: facials, laser hair removal, IV therapy, nutrition programs, and so much more. They were such an asset to the community, they just didn’t know how to get their community members to actually see them.

When I was brought on, we took a look at where they were, where they wanted to be, and what was missing to get them from point A to point B. We implemented email marketing, a strategic social media presence, revamped their website, and more. That’s when the magic happened.

Within just one month of implementing these strategies, this Med Spa saw a 77% increase in sales! Only 5 short months later, they were at a 90% increase in revenue which came out to be over $56,000. For this small business in a rural community, it truly changed the game for them. Clients were finding them from social media saying they had no idea they even existed!

Not only was this extremely impactful for the Med Spa, but it was impactful on the community.

Shaylee, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

I’ve always had a passion in my heart for helping others succeed in their dreams. One of my main goals in life has always been to positively impact as many people in this world as I can. After graduating with my Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, I found the pathway of how I could accomplish this goal of mine.

I started out seeing 1:1 clients helping them with their marketing: websites, social media, email marketing, and more. When my clients were seeing incredible results from my strategies, I knew I had to share these methods with as many people as I possibly could!

There was one problem, though. I was only one person and could only see so many clients at once. That’s when I came across the online course world and decided that was my answer. That’s how I could help an unlimited amount of people.

I poured my heart and soul into my first online course, Socially Empowered Estheticians: The step-by-step guide to filling your books and selling your products on social media without the overwhelm or paid ads. I took everything I knew and everything I would do with my 1:1 clients and created a self-paced, lifetime-access online course.

Within 9 months, I had over 3500 Esthetics industry professionals in over 30 countries take my Free Masterclass and over 200 enroll in my online courses.

While I don’t see 1:1 clients anymore, I now offer my signature program, the Empowered Estheticians Academy: The fastest and lowest cost pathway to a 6+ figure esthetics business, where I help Esthetics industry pros with all aspects of marketing.

Every time I get a message from a student telling me they woke up to 2 new clients booked, or that they sold $1000+ in retail products within the last two weeks, it validates the path I chose to take and motivates me to continue making a difference in the lives of others in any way I can.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?

Building my reputation within my market took time, but was also so rewarding. It’s sometimes difficult to enter a niche when you don’t have experience within that niche. I am a marketer. I never went to Esthetics school. However, I did whatever I could to truly learn the industry. I studied others, read articles, watched videos, and immersed myself in the industry to soak in all the knowledge I could.

By doing these things and combining them with my sincere desire to help others, my niche accepted me with open arms. There are often times when my audience actually thinks I’m an esthetician because I’ve put so much effort into being knowledgeable about the industry.

It makes a world’s difference when you can understand your niche so thoroughly to truly understand what they are struggling with so you can help them in such in-depth ways with your offer. I’m grateful every day for the opportunity I have to connect with such an incredible group of professionals.

We’d love to hear the story of how you built up your social media audience?

I had a very rapid growth in building my audience on social media. Within 4 months, I grew from a few hundred followers to over 35,000 followers without spending a dime on paid ads. I follow the same methods I teach my students in my online course.

While there are many methods and strategies that go into building an extremely engaged audience on social media full of your dream clients, there are three aspects you simply cannot neglect.

The first aspect is showing up as your authentic self. No one wants to see you doing the same things as everyone else. Be unique! Show your face, let your audience hear your voice, and infuse your personality into your posts and profile to give your audience the chance to feel a connection with you.

The second aspect to growing your social media community is to be consistent. You cannot just post a couple times a week. You have to combine a killer strategy to reach your dream client with consistent posting every single week. I posted 6- to 7 times a week on my feed and at least 3 stories a day, 6 to 7 times a week for 4 months to grow my audience.

Lastly, you can’t just post great content and then hope your dream clients find you. You have to take the initiative to get seen by them! This means you must go out and find your dream clients on social media and engage with them. Start following them, liking their stories, and leaving meaningful comments on their posts. When you do this, it sparks their interest and leads them to your profile.
