I have been an entrepreneur for over 10 years. Understanding the challenges that I faced when starting my own business, I knew there was a need for other entrepreneurs to have a business consultant to help guide them from start up to expansion. That is what led to the creation of YMA Financial. In any business venture you experience ebbs and flows. There are good years and bad years. I would say the biggest piece of advice that I can give to anyone that is considering starting a business would be to make sure you have a business plan, that you have a strong foundation and if you do not know seek the advice and counsel of experts that can help you ensure your success.

YMA Financial was founded in early 2014 by Joseph Wallace, a business consultant with over 10 years of experience in business startup and expansion. Joseph started the company while working for a large global customer experience solution firm and seeing an opportunity to provide more personalized service to clients.

How’d you build such a strong reputation within your market?
I was able to build a social media following and generate clients through my previous employer. I managed over 600 employees and once I started marketing on social media platforms a lot of those employees became my first clients. People that were either already operating some type of side business or had the dream to be an entrepreneur has followed my entrepreneurial journey for over 10 years.
How’d you meet your business partner?
When YMA Financial was first starting one of the main things that I noticed was many of my clients needed assistance with their personal credit. That lead me to bring my wife, and business partner Rebecca Wallace into the business. We both learned everything we could about consumer credit and that led me to create Masters Credit Consultants, which Rebecca operates. This allowed me to continue to focus on my client’s business needs while she assisted on their credit profiles. We grew the company to have a full staff of credit repair specialist and a supervisor for the department. Eventually this led us to create YMA Wealth Management Group to be the parent company for the subsidiary companies that we were creating.
