Our community is fortunate to have so many brilliant, insightful entrepreneurs and creatives and so many of them have front row, ground level seats that allow them to see emerging trends before the so-called experts, industry leaders, etc. We wanted to create a space to connect members of our community where they could share these insights on trends and opportunities they are seeing.

In a recent wedding I had the privilege of photographing, the couple, Emily and James, were determined to create a celebration that truly embodied their personalities and relationship. Their story was unconventional from the start – they had met during a volunteer trip and bonded over their shared love for hiking and adventure. On their wedding day, instead of the usual scripted poses, Emily and James opted for a pre-wedding hike with their closest friends and family. The breathtaking landscape not only served as a stunning backdrop for photos but also symbolized their journey together. I captured candid shots as they laughed, navigated challenging trails, and shared intimate moments against the backdrop of nature’s beauty. Read more>>

As a multicultural marketing expert, I see the current landscape of multicultural marketing as a prime opportunity, where the American consumer market is experiencing unparalleled diversity. The under-35 demographic, which represents 50% of the U.S. population, is increasingly composed of cultural minorities, a trend that’s projected to continue as we approach 2025 when the United States is expected to become a “minority-majority” population. The top 3 trends I am seeing in film + entertainment industry are 1. Social Videos/ Media on platforms like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and Twitter With Facebook Watch, Facebook is doing everything it can to steal the social media video throne and with over 1 billion monthly viewers, it may be working. But while Facebook has impressive numbers, it’s far from trendy. TikTok, on the other hand, is a rocket ship. TikTok has over 1 billion monthly active users as well and those users aren’t afraid to invest in getting more followers. Read more>>

As a Voice Over Artist, Studio Owner and Producer for the past 4o+ years in LA the changes to the Voice Over and Post Production business have been immense! With the advent of recording digitally and being able to transfer files electronically as well as a number of programs that offer point-to-point “real time” recording you no longer need to physically live in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, etc. With the technology available now you can literally be anywhere in the world and be recorded in any studio around the globe. This has also put immense pressure on SAG-AFTRA ( the union that represents voice over talent ) in that there is now a huge proliferation of NON-UNION work. Read more>>

Well, that would have to be A.I.! I’m sure all of us in the industry are aware of its presence by now. The top bots seem to be ChatGPT, Mid-Journey, the new Photoshop Beta, and some various other applications. Artists and Creators are in fear of losing work; writers are on strike, and A.I. capabilities are growing every day. I admit at first I, like most, had some concern, but now I use it almost every day. At my level in this industry, it seems to have created more work. Everyone wants “The AI style,” so I find myself integrating it into everything from marketing materials, photography, and wedding videos. There’s so much you can do with it if you think “outside the box.” Read more>>

There are multiple trends happening in the healthcare space right now, particularly around rehabilitation. As the baby boomer population continues to move towards the older adult phase of life and Gen X, Millenials and Gen Z-ers are prioritizing more active lifestyles outside of work, the need for physical and occupational therapy services is outpacing the supply of therapists. Our space in outpatient rehab really just skims the surface of where therapy can play a role in returning a human to optimal function. There are needs in industrial rehab, rehab in the inpatient/hospital/acute care settings, home health, skilled nursing, cardiac rehab, oncological physical and occupational therapy, neuro and pediatric rehab, among others. The pandemic shifted a lot for the field of counseling psychology. No longer were we sitting across from each other with tissue boxes on side tables and noise machines making it a perfectly quiet and sterile. We were in our homes! In our mess! It was more uncontrolled and more real. People felt more seen. More heard and also not heard because the baby was crying in the background. The new normal is to stay out of therapy offices. The new normal is “walk and talk” on the park path. The new normal is bringing your kids and having them play at the playground. All while therapy is happening. We’re breaking out of the traditional therapy office and into the real world for more real relationships and more real healing. Read more>>

We are in a fairly traditional industry where you don’t see too many deviations from classic styles. Equestrian sport has a long history and many of the traditions are still preserved today in sport and attire. For our equestrian clothing line, designer Sundus Shaheryar, drew inspiration from historical Victorian and Edwardian riding habits, jodhpurs and riding coats while adding some more modern design elements. The idea behind Savar is to honor tradition while pushing its style boundaries at the same time. We think modernising some of the more traditional styles is a huge opportunity for equestrian apparel brands! Read more>>

The fashion industry is constantly evolving, and there are several major trends that are currently dominating the scene. One of the biggest trends is sustainability and ethical fashion. People are becoming more conscious about the environmental impact of the fashion industry, and there is a growing demand for eco-friendly and socially responsible clothing. Last year at the Indian fashion week, we showcased recycled, refurbished outfits made out of old sarees. Read more>>

One of the biggest trends that I am seeing in my industry is that they are finally acknowledging that just because a woman or man comes with extra curves, that does not disqualify them from being beautiful. For as long as I could remember, Plus size fashion was not one that was commonly acknowledged in the fashion industry. Nowadays plus size women are finally placed in garments that accentuate their curves. They are finally being placed in garments that may show their body rolls, stretch marks, body dimples and more. It seems as though curvy fashion is being placed on the forefront and with much more support than ever before. Read more>>
