We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Quality Lenz. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Quality below.
Quality, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. How did you learn to do what you do? Knowing what you know now, what could you have done to speed up your learning process? What skills do you think were most essential? What obstacles stood in the way of learning more?
I am a self-taught media creative. I just sat down and decided I wanted to start creating using a different medium than what I am used to. I used Youtube, College, and Pinterest to study different techniques to mold and develop my style.
Looking back, I think that I wouldn’t have done anything to speed up my process. I am big patience, and doing things correctly. By taking my time, I learned so much from watching other creatives and soaking in a variety of styles.
The skills I think that are most essential in the land of a creative are innovative thinking and becoming a sponge in the craft.
The biggest obstacles that stood in the way of my willingness to learn is laziness and lack of curiosity. I wish in times I sat around and wasted time, I would go on YouTube to study my craft. Or when something caught my attention while studying, I should’ve dug into that one thing which caught my attention.

Quality, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?
My name is Quality, and I am a 24 years old photographer/videographer from Glynn County Georgia. I’ve always been a creative since middle school. I first started drawing, then going into college I started moving my crafts to the computer. After a while, digital art just wasn’t the passion I was looking for. Then I saw a photo one day and said,”I can do that”, the rest is history. Now I create art as a photographer and videographer. I mainly swim in the realm photography, both digital and film format. A big thing I love to do is tell stories disregarding a person’s status in life or the area I am in. I am a big believer in, “Hard work beats talent when talent don’t work hard”.
I am most proud of my Photography Mixtapes! A photography mixtape is a photography project marketed as a musical mixtape, but there is no music. Each song is the name of a shoot, and the features are the models apart of the shoot. Lastly, the producers are the photographers.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?
The ability to learn, find new ways to stay outside the box, and being able to capture moments that are legendary.

What do you think helped you build your reputation within your market?
My ability to be a creative innovator.
