We caught up with the brilliant and insightful BMC Improv a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

BMC, appreciate you joining us today. Can you talk to us about how you learned to do what you do?

BMC Improv is made up of 7 amazing improvisers who have learned from improv schools & programs all over the country. The members, Sean Grant, Tatyana Guchi, Monique Parks, Paris Nicole, Simone Finley, Jay White & Myra Whttington decided to create their own opportunities without the backing of an improv establishment and this courage has paid dividends. The acceleration of their learning came from doing. And now they find themselves in position to pour knowledge into others through their weekly workshop. The workshop takes place in DTLA at The Terasaki Budokan at 8:15pm on Tuesday nights and is open to all experience levels. The Facilitators, Tatyana, Sean & Monique create a safe learning environment for a diverse group of actors and non-actors alike. We encourage you to sign up and be a part of this growing community.

BMC, love having you share your insights with us. Before we ask you more questions, maybe you can take a moment to introduce yourself to our readers who might have missed our earlier conversations?

We are an improv team with huge goals. We want to become the first rockstar improv troupe…touring and selling out theaters. The team leaders, Sean Grant and Tatyana Guchi are shopping a cartoon based on the team & their sketches have gone viral on many occasions. They are looking for major representation & accepting all meetings in that regard.

What can society do to ensure an environment that’s helpful to artists and creatives?

Come out and laugh as much as possible. Also buy team’s merchandise to offset the costs that comedy teams endure just to have a chance to perform.

What do you think is the goal or mission that drives your creative journey?

We are driven to serve. We believe all purpose has a service element to others, which is why we love to entertain and teach. We are available for coaching and workshops for corporations & other organizations through our website.
