Hi Deborah, thanks for joining us today. So, naming is such a challenge. How did you come up with the name of your brand?
I’ve had multiple businesses called “Ordinarily Beautiful “ this is to show that you can turn anything ordinary into something beautiful . In relation to life circumstances ; an ordinary life or conflict ion can be used to create something Beautiful!
As always, we appreciate you sharing your insights and we’ve got a few more questions for you, but before we get to all of that can you take a minute to introduce yourself and give our readers some of your back background and context?
One night I was really craving cotton candy and there was no where to get it. The very next day I got all the equipment needed and licenses to start a business . That exact weekend I went out to sale at a local park and noticed I wasn’t the only one who really wanted cotton candy. I decided to make my cotton candy super large (as large as 20 ft tall) and have over 150 flavors all handcrafted. Since I was 16 l’ve had 6 different types of businesses, but this one has been my favorite! All my businesses have had the name “Ordinarily Beautiful” because you can turn any ordinary thing into something beautiful. It’s been a blessing to have a business that makes people happy and laugh I love to be able to create something that others can enjoy.
Any advice for growing your clientele? What’s been most effective for you?
In order to maintain customers it is important to be a genuine loving person . People recognize genuine customer service. Its a natural strategy that makes people happy . We value our customers , and are very grateful for them . We hope to continue the same strategy .
Have any books or other resources had a big impact on you?
All of my decisions in Life come from the Bible . With out Jesus I would not have this business and I would not be who I am today . Jesus has allowed me to have a business so that I do not have to work for corrupt places and be a slave to the work system . There is no purpose to a business with out Jesus. It’s a huge blessing.
